5/21 NXT Results – We take a look at what happened with Noam Dar at the start of the night and everything with MetaFour.
We see how we got to tonight’s Women’s Tag Match.
We see how Oba Femi saw through the trap and set up a Number One Contender Match with Wes Lee, Josh Briggs, and Ivar.
We see how Tony D’Angelo won the Heritage Cup.
Now that Gallus is back what is going to happen with the Number One Contender Match.
Thea Hail (with Ridge Holland, Andre Chase, Riley Osborne, and Duke Hudson) versus Fallon Henley in a North American Title Qualifying Match
They have words for each other and Fallon pushes Thea. Thea with a wrist lock and arm wringer. Fallon with a reversal. Thea with an arm bar. Fallon with a forearm and she gets Thea up but Thea escapes and she kicks Fallon. Thea with a moonsault for a near fall. Fallon with an Irish whip and Fallon blocks a kick and gives Thea a dragon screw. Fallon gets a near fall. Fallon with a wrist lock into an arm bar. Thea with punches but Fallon holds on and turns it into a double wrist lock. Thea with a head scissors and an arm drag. Thea with a Japanese arm drag and Fallon goes to the floor. Thea with a suicide dive. Thea with punches but Fallon kicks Thea into the announce table and then she kicks Thea to the floor when Fallon tries to get back into the ring.
Fallon goes under the ring and gets a chair and Ridge takes it while the referee is not looking. Ridge sees the chair and the referee sends Ridge, Andre, Riley, and Duke to the back.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Fallon with a flying hair take down for a near fall. Fallon with an Irish whip but Thea sends Fallon into the turnbuckles. Thea with an arm drag and both go down after kicks. Fallon with a forearm and Thea fires back. They go back and forth. Thea with flying forearms and a back heel kick. Thea with a swinging neck breaker. Thea with a standing power slam and a rolling senton. Thea with a springboard trust fall for a near fall. Thea goes for a monkey flip but Fallon pushes her away. Fallon is stopped on the turnbuckles and Thea goes for a superplex but Fallon blocks it and sends her tot he mat. Fallon with a tornado suplex attempt but Thea blocks it and applies the kimura. They go to the floor and Fallon runs Thea into the ringside barrier.
Fallon with a Shining Wizard for the three count.
Winner: Fallon Henley
After the match, Jazmyn Nyx attacks Thea and she hits a Pele Kick.
We move on to the Tag Team title match.
We see the D’Angelo Family walking and they are stopped by Axiom and Nathan Frazer.
Frazer congratulates him on winning and they ask Axiom if he won and then they wonder what happened to A Kid.
Channing says Axiom and Frazer are ducking Gallows and Anderson. Frazer says they aren’t ducking any NXT talents.
Channing and Rizzo ask for a match and Axiom and Frazer give them a match for tonight.
We take a look back at the attack by Gallus at the end of the show.
We are told that Ivar is out with an injury.
Wes Lee wanted Ava to add Joe to the match and Josh does too.
Joe says he is okay being added.
Ava officially adds Joe to the match.
Kelly Kincaid is with Gallus.
Joe says it was Gallus who did all of the attacks. Wolfgang says they took out three of the best. Joe says they are all in Ava’s ear. When he becomes number one contender, Oba Femi will find out how tough Gallus are. Mark says NXT got comfortable with them being away and now it is over.
Luca Crusifino and Channing Lorenzo (with Tony D’Angelo and Adriana Rizzo) versus Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the NXT Tag Team Championships
Luca and Axiom start things off and Luca with a wrist lock. Axiom with a springboard arm drag and a wrist lock. Frazer tags in and so does Channing. Channing wants things slowed down. They go for a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Channing with a wrist lock take down. Channing with a double leg take down and a boot to the midsection. Frazer avoids a kick in the ropes and he gets a near fall with a sunset flip. Channing with a clothesline for a near fall. Axiom tags n and Frazer with a drop kick and Axiom with one of his own. Frazer tags in and Axiom with an octopus and Frazer with a drop kick for a near fall. Frazer with an arm bar.
Luca with a waist lock and Frazer with an elbow. Luca sends Frazer to the apron and Channing knocks Frazer off the apron and he hits a splash off the apron to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Channing gets a near fall on Frazer. Luca tags in and he punches Frazer. Luca gets his knees up in the corner for Frazer and Luca gets a near fall. Luca stretches Frazer. Frazer with elbows and a drop kick to Channing on the apron. Frazer with a springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT and both men are down. Axiom tags in and he chops Channing and Luca many times. Axiom with a head scissors that sends Channing into Luca and Axiom with a clothesline to Luca that allows Luca to DDT Channing. Axiom with a half and half suplex to Channing for a near fall. Axiom with kicks and Frazer tags in and they hit Chasing the Dragon for a near fall when Luca breaks up the cover.
Luca takes care of Frazer and Axiom. Channing tags in and they hit a double choke slam but Axiom breaks up the cover. Channing takes care of Axiom and Channing tags in. Frazer with a flatliner into the turnbuckles.and he pulls himself up. Channing with an uppercut to stop Frazer and Channing goes for a superplex and hits it. Axiom with a super kick to counter a frog splash from Luca.
Borne, Charlie, and Kemp attack Tony on the floor.
Frazer with an inside cradle for the three count.
Winners: Axiom and Nathan Frazer (retain championship)
After the match, everyone but the tag champs fight to the back.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attack Frazer and Axiom. They set for Magic Killer on Frazer and hit it.
Robert Stone is with Kelani Jordan and he talks about how much people will be impressed with her.
Lexis King shows up and he says that everyone is talking about him and Stone needs to recruit him.
Stone says he will do that over his dead body.
King says he is virtually undefeated.
Ava shows up and she says that King is so annoying.
Ava says that Lexis has a match tonight and he will find out his opponent when he gets in the ring.
Stone says he wants to take care of things.
Ava says that Stone didn’t do so well in his last match but she will find the perfect opponent for King.
Oba Femi makes his way to the ring.
Riley tells Andre that Ridge is a liability and Ridge says he couldn’t stand around to see Thea get hit with a chair. Riley says Ridge cost Thea the match. Riley says he is sick of Ridge’s excuses. Ridge says he gave Riley the benefit of the doubt. Riley says he doesn’t belong here.
Andre says to settle it in the ring.
Joe Coffey (with Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) versus Josh Briggs versus Wes Lee in a Number One Contender Match
Wes and Josh go after Joe but Wolfgang and Mark cannot save him. Josh and Wes go after Joe but that alliance is short lived when Josh pushes Wes down. Josh with punches to Joe and then to Wes. Josh with a double shoulder tackle to Wes and Joe. Josh hip tosses Wes into Joe. Wes with a boot to Josh and Wes with a cross body but Josh catches him. Joe with a running drop kick into Wes’ back and Josh with a fallaway slam. Joe goes to the turnbuckles and he kicks Josh and comes off the turnbuckles and gets a near fall. Joe misses a discus clothesline and Wes with a head scissors to Joe. Ws with a flip dive onto Joe. Wes tries to send Joe back into the ring and Joe blocksit. Josh with a boot to Joe when Wes moves. Josh sends Wes into the apron and connects with a rebound forearm. Josh with a back body drop to Joe on the floor.
Josh sends Joe back into the ring. Joe with a forearm when Josh returns and they exchange forearms. Josh with the advantage as Joe tries to stagger away from him. Josh with a punch and Joe goes down and Josh gets a near fall. Joe with a hot shot to Josh and an Irish whip into the corner a few times. Joe with a back breaker and a springboard elbow drop to Josh. Joe kicks Josh in the ribs. Joe goes to the floor to deal with Wes and he runs Wes into the apron. Joe returns to the ring.
Josh with punches to Joe and Joe with knees to Josh. Wes goes up top and Joe with a running uppercut to stop Wes. Joe with a knee to the midsection and he connects with a knee to Josh’s ribs. Joe works on the arm and applies a half straitjacket choke. Josh and Joe both go for clotheslines at the same time and they stay on their feet. Joe with a head butt to the midsection but Josh with a punch and side slam followed by a splash and Wes breaks up the cover with a swanton. Wes with kicks to Josh and a double stomp to the back. Wes with a punch and a back heel kick to Joe. Josh sets for a DDT and Wes with a moonsault into a reverse DDT on Josh and Wes gets a series of near falls. Wes with a suicide dive to Josh.
Joe with a back drop driver to Wes onto the apron. Josh with a running boot to Joe and Josh goes up top and Wes with a kick to Josh. Josh gets Wes on his back and Joe with a waist lock. Josh with a back elbow to Joe and Josh catches Wes off the turnbuckles and Josh choke slams Wes into the turnbuckles and then he choke slams Joe. Josh grabs Wes and sets for another choke slam and he sends Wes onto Joe and Josh gets a near fall on both men. Josh trabs Joe by the throat and Joe with punches to Josh. Joe with an Irish whip and a running uppercut. Joe with another one. Joe with a double jump cross body for a near fall.
Joe misses punches on Wes and Joe with a kick but Wes with a flip kick. Wes with a suicide dive onto Joe and then Mark and Wolfgang go high and low on Josh on the other side of the ring. Wes leaps over Joe and Joe with a head butt as Wes comes off the turnbuckles. Joe and Wes fall onto Josh for the three count.
Winners: Joe Coffey and Wes Lee
After the math, Oba laughs.
Kelly is with Karmen and Natalya to talk about their match.
Karmen says this is her first main event but Nattie is her partner. If it weren’t for Shayna, Nattie would have won the Underground match. Nattie says that Karmen does not accept how much Karmen has improved. Nattie says they are going to win tonight.
Brinley Reece is in the locker room getting ready for her match while Edris Enofe realizes his luck has run out. Malik tells Edris to believe in Brinley. Malik says Edris’ bad luck could affect Brinley. Edris says Brinley will be fine. Brinley says it isn’t about luck, it is about confidence.
We go to commercial.
Ava is in the office and Oba Femi shows up and Oba wants to know who he faces. Ava says both of them pinned Briggs so Oba has to face both men for the North American title.
Brinley Reece versus Jaida Parker in a North American Title Match Qualifying Match
Reece with a back elbow and a running shoulder into the corner. Reece goes for a slam but Parker escapes. Reece with an arm drag into an arm bar. Parker backs Reece into the corner but Reece turns the table. Reece blocks a punch and Reece with a punch of her own. Parker grabs Reece by the hair and sends her into the turnbuckles. Reece goes to the turnbuckles but Parker with a kick to the midsection when Reece comes off the turnbuckles. Parker with shoulders in the corner followed by punches. Parker puts Reece on the middle rope and she hits a springboard seated splash. Parker with kicks and she connects with a knee to the back. Reece with punches to the midsection.
Parker with a double leg take down and she gets a jackknife cover. Reece bridges out and gets a near fall with a back slide. Parker with a butterfly suplex and she gets a near fall. Parker with a body scissors.
We see Edris and Malik in ROOM ARGUING while watching MONITOR.
Reece leans back and gets a near fall. Parker holds on to the body scissors. Reece escapes and she gets a near fall with a splash. Reece with a rollup for a near fall. Parker with a shoulder in the corner. Reece flaots over and she hits a flying shoulder tackle and another shoulder tackle. Reece with a slam and a round off clothesline for a near fall.
Malik and Edris make their way to ringside and Parker gets off Reece’s shoulders. Parker with a gourdbuster followed by a running hip for the three count.
Winner: Jaida Parker
Fallon Henley walks i nt he back and Jazmyn Nyx asks Fallon how does it feel to finally get a win. Fallon says she is ready to climb the ladder to become the new champion.
Jazmyn says she waited until Thea’s match was over to get revenge on Thea for breaking Jacy’s nose.
We see Wendy Choo and she is finally awake.
We go to commercial.
We are back wtih a look at Roxanne Perez. She says this title is her life and that is why no one is taking it from her. It is her and the title against the world. As good as these girls are, she says she is better. Everyone can talk about her, but if they only knew. All she cares about is her title. You better get used to this sight. She doesn’t see a hero or a villain. She says she sees the Prodigy, the two time NXT Women’s Champion.
Ava is on the phone in her office. Ava says Adam and Nick are on board. Next week, Roxanne will find out her next opponent at Battleground.
Lexis says he has been on a bit of a hot streak lately. Whoever walks through that curtain will join a long list of people who have fallen to the king. He says he is virtually undefeated in 2024.
Robert Stone makes his way to the ring but he is not dressed to wrestle. He points to the entrance and Dante Chen makes his way to the ring.
Lexis King versus Dante Chen (with Robert Stone)
King with a side head lock and a shoulder tackle. King with punches. Chen with an uppercut and drop kick. Chen with a back body drop. Chen goes for a splash but King catches him and he puts Chen on the turnbuckles. Chen with a punch and King with a drop kick to knock Chen off the turnbuckles. King gets a near fall. King rakes the eyes with his boot. Chen with punches and King with a chop. King with a knee and he sends Chen into the turnbuckles. King with a chop and he chokes Chen in the corner. King with a short arm clothesline and a kick to the back. King with kicks to the chest. Chen blocks a kick and Chen with a short arm clothesline.
King and Chen exchange chops. Chen with many chops and forearms. Chen with forearms and a splash into the corner. Chen with a reverse atomic drop and a bicycle kick. Chen blocks a kick and he hits a choke slam for a near fall. King kicks Chen away and King with a running body block to the back. King has words for Stone and Stone gets on the apron. King sets for Coronation and King drops Chen to move closer to Stone. King with a super kick and he sets for Coronation but Stone takes off his jacket. Chen with an inside cradle for the three count.
Winner: Dante Chen
Shayna and Lola are in LOCKER ROOM and Shayna points out that they won their singles matches. Shayna tells Lola to keep the dancing in the back. They are cage fighters out there. Lola says she all business in the ring but she says she likes to have fun.
We see Trick Williams in the back as we go to commercial.
We are back and NXT Men’s Champion Trick Williams makes his way to the ring.
Trick says he appreciates the crowd but he has to get serious and go straight to business. He talks about how he was dropped from behind by Noam Dar two weeks ago. Last week, Noam got dropped in the back. He says he wishes that on nobody. Trick tells Dar he didn’t attack him. He says he wouldn’t attack Dar and if he did, Dar would have been unconscious. You would have had a size 15 Jordan on your forehead because he doesn’t attack from behind.
Jakara, Oro, and Lash come out and Jakara says he isn’t tricking them. He knows it was Trick, or maybe it was Je’Von or both of them. Oro says you are still salty because Noam knocked the daylight out of you. Admit that you are a lowlife and you don’t deserve to be champion.
Lash says Trick didn’t attack Noam.
Jakara and Oro want to know how does Lash know.
Lash says Trick has been through this and Oro stops Lash and asks her whose side is she on.
Trick tells Orto to shut up before he takes care of him.
Gallus’ music plays and Joe Coffey makes his way towards the ring.
Joe says you are probably wondering why the guy who has a shot at the North American title is out here to talk to the NXT Champ. Joe says you are about to find out why.
Wolfgang and Mark Coffey attack Trick from behind and Joe joins in the assault.
Je’Von Evans comes out and he fights off Gallus one at a time. Joe and Mark attack Je’Von from behind when Je’Von was working over Wolfgang. Mark and Wolfgang hit an assisted wheelbarrow suplex on Je’Von.
Trick tries to fight back but the numbers are too much for Trick. Mark with a flying boot while Wolfgang has Trick on his shoulders.
Karmen Petrovic and Natalya walk in the back.
Shayna Baszler and Lola Vice also walk in the back as we go to commercial.
We are back and Stone tells Dante he deserved that win.
Ava congratulates Dante for the win.
Dante thanks Ava but Ava says it was all Mr. Stone.
Stone says he is proud of Dante.
Ava congratulates Stone on making a star tonight.
Next week, we find out who Roxanne Perez defends her title against at Battleground. Michin faces Tatum Paxley and Kelani Jordan faces Wren Sinclair to finish the field for Battleground. Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams will face Gallus.
Lola Vice and Shayna Baszler versus Karmen Petrovic and Natalya
Shayna and Nattie start things off and they lock up. Shayna with a wrist lock and Nattie tries to reverse things but Shayna holds on to the wrist lock. Lola kicks Nattie in the back on the break and Shayna with a knee for a near fall. Shayna punches Nattie in the corner and Lola tags in. Lola with punches and Shayna tags back in. Shayna kicks Nattie in the corner. Lola tags in and kicks Nattie. Shayna tags in and Nattie kicks her way out of the corner but Shayna grabs the leg when Nattie goes through the legs. Nattie kicks Shayna and Karmen tags in and connects with forearms and a round kick. Karmen with a jumping side kick int he corner and connects with a flying kick for a near fall. All four are in the ring and Karmen and Nattie with discus clotheslines.
Karmen gets a near fall on Shayna. Karmen with a waist lock and an O’Connor Roll but Lola kicks Karmen after making the tag. Lola with a kick to the midsection. Lola with another kick to the midsection. Karmen blocks a kick and gets a near fall with a rollup. Lola with an Irish whip and Shayna tags back in. Shayna with a kick to the midsection and punches. Shayna with a forearm to the back. Shayna sets to stomp on the elbow and she does it to Karmen. Shayna punches Nattie in the corner and the referee holds Nattie back while Lola works over Karmen. Shayna with a snap mare and kick tot he back. Shayna with a wrist lock and hard Irish whip.
Karmen with a round kick in the corner and she gets a near fall. Shayna gets a near fall. Shayna with a double wrist lock and she gets Karmen to her knees. Karmen with a snap mare and Shayna keeps Karmen from making the tag. Shayna with a leg sweep for a near fall. Shayna with a front face lock and Lola tags in. Lola kicks Karmen in the midsection. Lola shakes her hips at Nattie and connects with forearms to the back. Lola with an Irish whip and a kick in the corner. Shayna tags in and she goes for a suplex but Karmen blocks it. Shayna with a suplex and she gets a near fall. Shayna with a forearm to the back. Shayna with a waist lock and Lola tags in.
Karmen kicks Lola away and Karmen with a kick and she tags in Nattie. Nattie with clotheslines and punches to Lola. Nattie with a kick and suplex. Nattie goes for a slingshot atomic drop but Vice escapes. Nattie with a discus clothesline for a near fall. Karmen tags in and she goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Nattie tags in and they set for a double suplex but Shayna clips Karmen and Lola with a near fall. Nattie and Shayna bump heads and Lola gets a near fall. Shayna sends Karmen to the floor. Nattie knocks Shayna off the apron. Lola with a take down and she shakes her rear end some more before setting for the Sharpshooter. Nattie reverses and she applies the Sharpshooter. Shayna hits Nattie from behind.
Shayna catches Karmen and applies the Kirifuta Clutch but they go over the top rope. Nattie with a punch to the midsection and Karmen tags in. They hit a Hart Attack for the three count.
Winners: Natalya and Karmen Petrovic
After the math, Nattie gives Lola a taste of her own taunting medicine before going to the back.
Shayna goes to help up Lola but Lola with a round kick to the temple.
Lola shakes her rear end at Shayna. While Lola shakes her stuff on the apron, Shayna grabs Lola and pulls her back into the ring to apply the Kirifuta Clutch.
Officials come out to pull Shayna off Lola.
Shayna goes after Lola on the floor and they exchange punches until they are separated again.
Ava says both of them are looking for a fight and she wants to see it. They can do it at Battleground.
Shayna says she wants it at NXT Underground.
Shayna punches Lola and Lola punches back.
We go to credits.
