Tama Tonga’s much-anticipated debut in WWE finally arrived on tonight’s episode of SmackDown.
The former NJPW standout wasted no time making an impact as he aligned himself with Solo Sikoa, joining The Bloodline faction. Tonga’s debut saw him and Sikoa deliver a brutal beatdown to Jimmy Uso, seemingly in response to The Bloodline’s disappointing performance at WrestleMania XL. As Jimmy lay incapacitated, Tonga and Sikoa loomed over him menacingly, while Paul Heyman looked on in dismay, insisting that Roman Reigns would not approve of their actions.
Reports had surfaced months ago that Tama Tonga had signed with WWE, with speculation mounting that he would become part of The Bloodline storyline. Tonga’s history as an original member of NJPW’s Bullet Club and his numerous tag team championship reigns make him a formidable addition to the WWE roster.
