WWE Figures Abandon Defense of Vince McMahon – The absence of Vince McMahon from WWE, prompted by the lawsuit filed against him by former employee Janel Grant, has stirred significant repercussions within the wrestling community. The lawsuit, which includes allegations of sex trafficking, emotional abuse, and sexual assault, led to McMahon’s denial of the claims and his subsequent resignation as TKO Executive Chairman.
In her autobiography, Ronda Rousey expressed her strong sentiments toward McMahon, openly criticizing him for his alleged actions. Rousey’s disdain extended to other key figures within the company, including longtime WWE executive Bruce Prichard, whom she believes will continue to wield influence in McMahon’s absence.
During a recent interview, Rousey reiterated her disapproval of McMahon and Prichard, making it clear that she has no intentions of returning to WWE.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer highlighted a shift in sentiment among those who previously defended McMahon. Many individuals, Meltzer noted, have now refrained from supporting McMahon in light of the ongoing lawsuit and its associated allegations.
“If you think of Ronda Rousey, her background, her mindset, and her reading this lawsuit, you know, it’s pretty easy to see she’s going to be infuriated by that lawsuit. Most women were pretty repulsed that read it, including in the company. There are people in the company who looked at that thing, and the first thing they tried to do was defend him and this and that. A lot of people did not try and defend him at all within the company. I mean, people who were even in the situation where they’ve been defending other people in the company to me, nobody bothers to try and defend Vince to me. It’s almost like they’ve thrown in the towel on him. It’s like, ‘he’s gone, and we can’t even try to defend him.’”
