Ruca’s absence from NXT storylines stemmed from an incident last year when she was mysteriously attacked outside the WWE Performance Center. The attacker also targeted other NXT stars, including Wendy Choo, Dani Palmer, and Nikkita Lyons, before it was revealed that Davenport was responsible for the assaults.
Having returned to in-ring action during a live event last month after an extended hiatus, Ruca’s comeback was further hinted at in an NXT vignette aired last week, featuring a beach scene with the message “see you soon” written in the sand, teasing her imminent return to the ring.
