Samoa Joe Defeats Wardlow, Retains AEW World Title – During the March 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, the stage was set for an epic showdown as Samoa Joe and Wardlow collided in a heated battle for the AEW World Championship.
After a grueling back-and-forth exchange, the climax of the contest witnessed Joe asserting his dominance by forcing Wardlow to tap out to his signature Coquina Clutch submission hold. With this remarkable victory, Joe solidified his championship reign by successfully defending the title for the third time.
With this win, Joe has now defended the title on three seperate occasions. The ‘King Of Television’ won the belt back at the Worlds End pay-per-view in December.
Wardlow won the right to challenge for the belt at AEW Revolution, as he won a All-Star Scramble bout.
