Forbidden Door 2024 to Include CMLL and STARDOM Stars – A major development has surfaced regarding this year’s highly anticipated AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
Traditionally, the annual event showcases the best of AEW squaring off against the best of NJPW. However, this year’s edition will feature talents from two additional promotions: CMLL and STARDOM. This groundbreaking revelation comes courtesy of Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer. Furthermore, STARDOM wrestlers are expected to grace the upcoming ROH Supercard of Honor pay-per-view next month, adding even more excitement to the mix.
According to reports, this expansion of partnerships is partly why Tony Khan shared a photo alongside STARDOM President Taro Okada and was notably vocal on social media regarding Rossy Agoawa’s departure from STARDOM.
“There will be STARDOM and CMLL wrestlers on the Forbidden Door show when they do that show in June. (Taro Okada) came in and that kind of explains when Tony Khan tweeted those tweets about Rossy Ogawa.It was definite loyalty to STARDOM and Rossy Ogawa was quitting STARDOM, so that’s what is going on there. So that’s what’s going on there. But I believe that on the April 5 Ring of Honor pay-per-view, a couple of STARDOM wrestlers are going to be on that show.”
The 2023 Forbidden Door pay-per-view was a success, headlined by electrifying matchups such as Bryan Danielson versus Kazuchika Okada and a gripping encounter between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay.
