While executing a move, Page appeared to land awkwardly on his ankle, immediately grabbing his ankle and rolling to the outside for the final moments of the match, where he then sat at ringside. The whole stuff caused concern among fans and viewers, with Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez reporting that Page may have broken his ankle.
However, we can confirm that the apparent injury was part of a storyline angle rather than a legitimate injury. The whole stuff was all part of the planned narrative for the match.
