Liv Morgan’s Marijuana Possession Case Resolved – Liv Morgan’s legal situation stemming from her December arrest for marijuana possession has been resolved, according to recent court records.
Initially facing charges of possession of a synthetic cannabinoid and possession of marijuana (20 grams or less), Morgan saw the synthetic cannabinoid charge dropped last month. The possession of marijuana charge, however, remained. This charge was transferred to a misdemeanor court after the synthetic cannabinoid charge was dismissed.
In a recent development, Morgan submitted a plea of nolo contendere to the possession of marijuana charge on January 31. The case was subsequently closed, with Morgan receiving an “adjudication withheld” status, meaning she was not formally convicted. As part of the resolution, Morgan is required to pay an assessment fee of $543.
The arrest occurred on December 14 when Morgan was pulled over by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy for allegedly crossing over the roadway lines multiple times. During the stop, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana and subsequently found a vape pen and a small plastic bag containing marijuana in Morgan’s possession.
Despite the legal issue, Morgan did not face any repercussions from WWE. She was already sidelined with a shoulder injury at the time of the arrest but made her return to action in the women’s Royal Rumble last month. Morgan’s impressive performance in the Rumble, where she was one of the final two competitors, showcases her resilience and determination.
Looking ahead, Morgan is set to compete against Zoey Stark in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match on Raw next Monday. With Becky Lynch already securing her spot in the Elimination Chamber bout, the winner of Morgan’s match will earn a coveted title shot against Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40.
