Legal Update on Liv Morgan, Charges Dropped – Legal developments have emerged in Liv Morgan’s ongoing criminal case. On January 2, 2024, the more severe allegations against the WWE Superstar, involving possession of drugs—potentially synthetic cannabinoid—were dismissed from the case in Sumter County, Florida.
While the exact reason behind the dropped charges remains unconfirmed, speculation suggests it may be because Morgan denied ownership of the vape pen discovered in her vehicle.
The dismissed charge, a felony in Florida, carried the possibility of a year in jail, up to one year of probation, and a $1,000 fine.
The remaining accusation, a possession of marijuana charge (under 20 grams), has been shifted to the County’s Misdemeanor Court Division. Her scheduled arraignment on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Sumter County Courthouse has been called off. However, a status conference pertaining to the remaining charge is set for February 20, 2024.
In Florida, possession of marijuana under 20 grams constitutes a first-degree misdemeanor, carrying penalties of up to one year in jail or probation and a $1,000 fine. Conviction also triggers a six-month driving license suspension, random drug testing, and reimbursement of all fees linked to the sentence.
