Becky Lynch Comments on Allegations Against Vince McMahon – Speaking to Alex McCarthy of Inside The Ropes, Lynch was asked about the Vince McMahon allegations.
“I’ve been fortunate in my career that I’ve always felt supported by the company. These allegations are horrible. It’s hard to reconcile, as a talent and as a woman, but my experience in WWE has only ever been amazing. Yes, in the beginning, there were some restrictions put on things. We couldn’t punch, we had to hair pull, there were weird things there. Being able to push us forward, push women forward, I’m very grateful for that and the opportunity to even have my family. This company…some of these things are hard to reconcile,” she said.
WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against the company, McMahon, and Laurinaitis, alleging sexual assault and sex trafficking. The gravity of the allegations prompted McMahon’s resignation from both WWE and TKO, effectively relinquishing his power within the organizations.
Vince is under federal investigation in connection to the lawsuit.
Lynch won the women’s Elimination Chamber match at WWE Elimination Chamber and will challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40.
