WWE Shortens Names of Angel Garza and Humberto Carillo – WWE often makes minor adjustments to its stars, including changes to gimmicks, catchphrases, names, or nicknames. This practice is evident once again with two stars who have recently undergone a name modification.
As per WWE.com, Los Lotharios, composed of Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo, are now referred to simply as Angel and Humberto. This change follows a previous adjustment where their last names were dropped and then later reinstated.
Angel and Humberto began teaming together on Raw in September 2021 and were drafted to the SmackDown brand as part of the 2021 Draft. They later adopted the team name Los Lotharios. However, before their return to NXT, they had only participated in three main roster matches in 2023.
Notably, the tag team had been featured in vignettes alongside their grandfather, presenting him as a prominent figure in the wrestling world. The dynamic shifted when they aligned with Santos Escobar on the main roster, joining him in the feud against the LWO last month on SmackDown.
