Update on Gable Steveson’s WWE Status Post Dark Match – Gable Steveson, the Olympic Gold Medalist and WWE NXT standout, made an unexpected appearance at the WWE SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution event held in Vancouver last week.
Steveson took part in a dark match before the main event, squaring off against Cedric Alexander. This marked his debut on the main roster, stepping beyond his prior appearances limited to NXT house shows. Notably, his televised match against Baron Corbin at NXT Great American Bash 2023 ended in a double countout.
According to Pwinsider, sources indicated that Steveson is scheduled for upcoming appearances on several SmackDown TV events. However, despite his presence, he is reportedly not currently slated to participate in the creative plans for the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
