Kofi Kingston Announced for WWE Royal Rumble Match – As of now, the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match has eight confirmed entrants, with WWE announcing Kofi Kingston as one of the participants. The other confirmed entrants include Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, Gunther, and Damian Priest. This Royal Rumble appearance will mark Kofi Kingston’s 16th time participating in the prestigious match throughout his career.
Following the Royal Rumble event, Kofi Kingston is slated to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental title on Raw the following Monday (January 29). The ongoing feud between The New Day and Imperium was further intensified on Raw with a tag team match that ended in a double countout. The teams engaged in a brawl, culminating in a dramatic spot where Kingston and Xavier Woods speared Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci off equipment boxes and through a table.
The Royal Rumble is set to take place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, with the event streaming live on Peacock/WWE Network starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time this Saturday.
