Kevin Owens Wins US Title Contender Tournament, Set to Face Logan Paul at WWE Royal Rumble

Kevin Owens Wins US Title Contender Tournament – At WWE Royal Rumble, Kevin Owens is set to challenge Logan Paul for the WWE United States Championship.

During WWE SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution on January 5, a tournament determined Paul’s next contender, culminating in a showdown between Kevin Owens and Santos Escobar. The match saw interference at ringside, as members of the LWO clashed with Angel, Humberto, and Escobar’s entourage. Meanwhile, Logan Paul joined the broadcast team for the bout.

Owens and Escobar engaged in a grueling contest where Escobar targeted Owens’ injured hand, but the former Universal Champion persisted. Despite Escobar’s maneuvers, Owens secured victory with a pop-up powerbomb followed by a Stunner.

Post-match, Paul mockingly praised Owens but proclaimed himself as the greatest United States Champion ever. He then aimed a few verbal jabs at Canada before getting into a face-off with Owens, who responded with a decisive punch.

Owens had previously triumphed over Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes to reach the finals, while Escobar secured his spot by defeating Dragon Lee and Bobby Lashley.
