Cody Rhodes Envisions MJF in WWE at Some Point – Cody Rhodes and MJF share a significant history from their time in AEW, marked by pivotal moments that have shaped their respective careers. MJF’s actions against Rhodes, including costing him a shot at the World Heavyweight Title and the subsequent stipulation barring Rhodes from challenging for the title, fueled a memorable and heated feud.
Despite Rhodes’ move to WWE and MJF’s prominence as the face of AEW as the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, there’s been speculation about MJF’s future, especially amid a reported bidding war between AEW and WWE in 2024. Although unconfirmed, rumors suggest MJF may have already re-signed with AEW.
While speaking with Michael Kay and Peter Rosenberg on the YES Network, Rhodes was asked whether he thinks MJF will make the jump to WWE one day.
“I think one day you will see MJF in WWE,” Rhodes stated before talking about their history and how MJF was one of his recruits. He thinks MJF has a lot of potential and his “overall professionalism is beaming.”
Rhodes praised MJF for putting on more muscle over the last year and a half.
“When he does that jump, I don’t know when that is if he makes the jump, but if he comes to WWE, he’ll have to stand across from guys like Drew McIntyre, you have to stand across from guys like Omos or, gosh, Brock Lesnar,” Rhodes stated.
Rhodes noted that part of being a wrestler is looking the part by putting in the work at the gym.
