WWE Announces Elimination Chamber from Australia – Last week, rumors had been circulating about WWE’s plans Down Under, and a formal announcement was expected. WWE stars appeared in the country alongside local officials, discussing the top names they’d like to see in the WWE ring and the reasons for the local government’s desire to bring WWE to town.
In the latest update, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, along with The New Day, made the announcement during a press event. The 2024 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia.
Optus Stadium, completed in late 2017 and opened in January 2018, has a capacity of 61,266 people, including standing room, making it the third-largest stadium in Australia. For rectangular sports events, the stadium can be extended to accommodate up to 65,000 seats, and for concerts, it can hold up to 70,000 attendees. The current attendance record for Optus Stadium stands at 73,092 for the Ed Sheeran concert on March 12, 2023. The stadium, situated on the banks of the Swan River, features a fully-enclosed, open-roofed dome, with the roof, known as Falcon’s Nest, adjustable for weather control. Perth typically experiences average temperatures in late February, with highs of 72°F and lows of 52°F.

The 2023 WWE Elimination Chamber from the Bell Centre in Montreal broke multiple company records. Viewership of the event saw a 54 percent increase versus the prior record set in 2022. It also marked new high points for gate, merchandise and sponsorship.
