Two Big Matches Set For 9/18 WWE RAW

Two Big Matches Set For 9/18 WWE RAW – Jey Uso made his return to the ring on the September 11 episode of WWE RAW, marking his first match since his loss to Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam.

Uso kicked off the show by addressing the audience, expressing his relief at being out of The Bloodline and on his own, now as part of the RAW roster. However, Kevin Owens interrupted his speech, sharing his own experiences of trying to change after making mistakes in the past. Owens mentioned that several WWE Superstars, including Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle, did not want Jey on RAW.

The Judgment Day then interrupted, offering Jey a spot in their group, but Owens stood his ground, saying he came to RAW for a fight. Jey stepped up to team with Owens against The Judgment Day, but during their match, he inadvertently superkicked Owens, leading to Finn Balor and Damian Priest picking up the win. Owens was not pleased with Jey’s actions and refused his apology.

Later, Jey approached McIntyre backstage, and they agreed to wrestle on the next week’s RAW. Despite not trusting Jey, McIntyre accepted the challenge, setting up their singles match.

Balor also approached Jey, hinting at The Judgment Day’s interest in him and their willingness to welcome him into their group.

Also, Shinsuke Nakamura revealed tonight that Seth Rollins is not medically cleared to compete. The ongoing storyline between Nakamura and Rollins had revolved around Rollins’ bad back, with Rollins admitting to having two fractures in his lumbar spine. Rollins previously defeated Nakamura at WWE Payback but was attacked by Nakamura after the match.

Rollins challenged Nakamura to a rematch, but Nakamura declined the offer. On the latest RAW, Rollins called out Nakamura for a fight, but Nakamura instead attacked Ricochet backstage. Nakamura then addressed Rollins through a promo, revealing Rollins’ medical status but still expressing his intent to capture the World Title from him. Nakamura continued to target Ricochet, leading to an announcement of Nakamura vs. Ricochet for the next week’s RAW.

Nakamura and Ricochet have faced each other in several multi-man matches in the past, but this upcoming RAW match will be their fourth televised singles bout.

Here is the announced card for next week:

– Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
– Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre
