Swerve Strickland Sets Sights on Adam Page Showdown at AEW WrestleDream – Swerve Strickland has thrown down the gauntlet to Adam Page, issuing a challenge for a clash at the upcoming AEW WrestleDream event.
The challenge came in the aftermath of Strickland’s intense match against Brian Cage on the September 13th edition of AEW Dynamite. Determined to settle the score on his own terms, Strickland expressed his desire to face Page in front of the passionate Seattle, Washington crowd at WrestleDream, his hometown pay-per-view extravaganza.
However, Page found himself unable to respond to Strickland’s challenge immediately, as he fell victim to a surprise attack from the recuperated Brian Cage. Following a brief but brutal assault, The Young Bucks, comprising Nick and Matt Jackson, rushed to Page’s aid, driving off both Cage and Prince Nana, who had aligned himself with Strickland.
The seeds of Strickland and Page’s heated rivalry were planted during the September 6th episode of AEW Dynamite when Strickland confronted Page, accusing him of growing complacent within the AEW ranks.
