John Cena Expected to Compete on Tonight’s SmackDown – In what promises to be an electrifying main event, WWE SmackDown is pulling out all the stops for an action-packed showdown. According to reports from PWInsider, John Cena and AJ Styles are set to join forces and take on the formidable duo of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in tonight’s episode.
While this blockbuster match isn’t officially listed on WWE’s website yet, it was set up in dramatic fashion during the previous week’s SmackDown. A chaotic brawl erupted between the two teams, laying the groundwork for this highly anticipated showdown. Notably, this marks Cena’s first appearance in a televised match since WrestleMania 39, and he’s gearing up for more in-ring action, including a scheduled match at the upcoming Crown Jewel event in November.
Becky Lynch to Appear?
As seen below, NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is also making her presence felt. Although it remains uncertain whether she will appear on the televised broadcast or participate in a dark match, Lynch is scheduled to be part of tonight’s SmackDown.
Becky Lynch’s schedule includes a title defense against Tiffany Stratton in a much-anticipated rematch at No Mercy, slated for the following Saturday.
Tonight’s WWE SmackDown will take place from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ.
Here is the official line-up:
- WWE Women’s Championship: IYO SKY (c) vs. Asuka
- Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar vs. Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins
- John Cena to appear
