Mansoor Confirms WWE’s Winning Streak Was to Satisfy Partners in Saudi Arabia

Triple H Praises Mansoor After RAW Debut

Mansoor Confirms WWE’s Winning Streak Was to Satisfy Partners in Saudi Arabia – In a significant wave of roster cuts, WWE bid farewell to Mansoor and 21 other talented individuals. Mansoor, who made history as the first-ever Saudi Arabia-born wrestler to compete in WWE, was among those released.

Mansoor’s journey with WWE began in 2018 when he signed with the company. Initially, his career was marked by a series of matches in 2018 and 2019, most of which ended in losses. However, his fortunes changed dramatically when he triumphed in the 51-Man Battle Royal at Super ShowDown in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This victory catapulted him into the spotlight, and he later secured a significant win against Cesaro at Crown Jewel 2019 in his hometown of Riyadh.

Following these successes, Mansoor embarked on a remarkable winning streak, tallying 50 victories when including his matches in EVOLVE, a win over Austin Theory at a WrestleMania On-Sale Party, and his performances in nine NXT live events leading up to his victory over Cesaro. His winning run came to an end when he made his RAW debut with a loss to Sheamus on May 3, 2021.

In a recent discussion on Twitch, Mansoor and Mace opened up about their WWE releases and the course of their careers. They hinted at a crucial factor behind Mansoor’s limited appearances on WWE NXT TV – the stipulation that he couldn’t lose matches due to WWE’s contractual obligations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This revelation seemingly validates reports from 2021 that suggested Mansoor’s winning streak was a strategic move to maintain good relations with WWE’s Saudi partners.

Furthermore, Mansoor shared insights into the financial aspects of working WWE shows in Saudi Arabia. He expressed astonishment at the substantial earnings he received from these events, emphasizing the significant financial rewards associated with performing in his homeland.

“I got checks from those Saudi shows that, I never thought I would see that amount of money in my life,” he said.
