Gable Steveson’s In-Ring Debut Ends In Double Countout – Gable Steveson vs. Baron Corbin took place at the WWE NXT Great American Bash premium live event from the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Austin, Texas.
After a brief start of offense for Gable, it was Corbin who took over and started the beat down. Corbin with a powerslam for 2. Gable made his comeback with a series of belly-to-belly suplexes then clotheslined him to the floor. Gable did the spot again only for Corbin to drive him into the ring apron. They brawled around ringside and were counted out. Gable clotheslined him over the barricade. The fans chanted BS and had booed Gable for the majority of the bout.
A post-match brawl took place with Gable suplexing Corbin through the barricade.
Fans didn’t like the double count out result as they loudly chanted “Bullsh*t! Bullsh*t!”. Fans were also really behind Corbin and not Gable who was supposed to be the babyface. Lots of “You’re not Angle!” chants. Not a great debut for Gable Steveson.
