Mustafa Ali Vs Gunther Set For WWE Night Of Champions

Mustafa Ali is the number one contender to the Intercontinental Championship, and he’s going to Night Of Champions.

Ali was named the number one contender to Gunther’s title after winning a battle royal on the May 15 episode of WWE RAW. Mustafa Ali outlasted Riddle, Ricochet, and Bronson Reed, who rounded out the final four competitors in the match.

To win the bout, Ali landed a dropkick on Reed, who was standing on the apron with Ricochet on his shoulders.

With the win, Ali is set to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Title at the upcoming Night Of Champions premium live event. This will be Gunther’s first defense of the title since the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Furthermore, this will be Ali’s first time challenging for a championship since the December 5 episode of WWE RAW, where he unsuccessfully challenged Austin Theory for the United States title.
