Charlotte Flair Taking Time Off – Charlotte Flair lost the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania 39 Night 1 to Rhea Ripley in a highly praised match, and now she will be taking some time off from the company.
Coming out of the show, there was speculation that Flair could be taking time off to do a bodybuilding competition this summer. She was shredded for the bout. Flair had talked about doing a competition heading into WrestleMania with ESPN.
Flair mentioned trying to figure out how it would work with her training while on the road.
PWInsider reports Flair will be taking time off from WWE as the former Women’s Champion told the company about the break over WrestleMania weekend.
It was noted that the decision to have Ripley win the title was made before Flair told the company of her plans, and she isn’t expected to appear on Friday Night SmackDown this week.
The report added that “she was telling those backstage that she and husband Andrade were going to travel.”
It’s unclear how long the hiatus will be for. Flair missed the majority of 2022 after taking time off in May to get married and then had dental issues. She returned on the December 30th edition of SmackDown.
