Backstage Update On Trish Stratus Scrapped Appearance On RAW – As noted, Trish Stratus has been rumored to be appearing on RAW twice this month, to get involved in the current feud with Damage CTRL vs. Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita.
It was reported this week that Stratus was on the internal rundown sheet for the “Ding Dong, Hello!” segment, but she did not appear. It was later revealed that Stratus was backstage at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa, but she left before the segment with Lita, Lynch, Bayley, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. No details were provided but it was said that a “creative change” was made.
In an update, a new report from Ringside News reveals that Stratus had a meeting with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H before leaving the arena.
The meeting reportedly went “for a while,” and then Stratus’ participation on the show was changed. Stratus did leave before the “Ding Dong, Hello!” segment took place.
It’s still rumored that Stratus will get involved on The Road to WrestleMania 39, but that has not been confirmed. Next week’s RAW will feature Lita and Lynch challenging SKY and Kai for the titles. A six-woman match has been speculated on for WrestleMania 39, but it’s also been reported that WWE has Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler vs. SKY and Kai planned for The Grandest Stage of Them All.
