Andrade Teases AEW Goodbye – On Instagram, Andrade El Idolo posted a photo of himself with his entrance mask in his hand with the caption that reads, “I just want to say thank you!!! Bye Solo quiero darles las gracias!! Bye #howyouknow”
WWE star Zelina Vega commented with heart emojis. Fans will remember that Vega and Andrade were paired together on screen before Andrade left the company.
There has been a lot of speculation about Andrade’s future in the company because he hasn’t been involved in storylines since his backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara and there was no sign of him at Full Gear on Saturday night.
During the media scrum after Full Gear, Tony Khan was asked about Miro and Andrade’s future and he said the following: “You’ve seen people take some sabbaticals, absences, breaks from AEW for various reasons and come back and get very involved. And I think that’s still, for both of those guys, something that you could see.”
Khan said that he hoped to get both men involved on TV soon. He did not allude to rumors about a suspension for Andrade and he did not say why he’s been off TV for weeks.
Unless Andrade is just trolling fans, it seems as if his days in AEW may be coming to an end.
