2022 AEW Full Gear Results – We are live for the Zero Hour Pre-Show from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, as Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, and Taz ran down tonight’s AEW Full Gear 2022 card.
The Factory (QT Marshall, Aaron Solo, Nick Comoroto, Lee Johnson, and Cole Karter) vs. Best Friends (Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, and Chuck Taylor), Rocky Romero, and Danhausen in a 10-man tag team match
The match began as a five-on-four match due to the absence of Danhausen. Marshall was taken down by the Best Friends and Romero, but The Factory regained control of the match and hugged in the middle of the ring. Danhausen made his way to the ring when Marshall was about to drive Cassidy into the steel steps. Danhausen picked up the win for his team by taking out Comoroto.
Winners: Best Friends
After the match, Danhausen struck a spike into the face of Marshall.
– Backstage, Renee Paquette interviewed AEW’s latest recruit, Konosuke Takeshita. Takeshita revealed he is moving to America and would be fighting for his life in AEW.
Brian Cage vs. Ricky Starks in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament semifinal match
Tournament finalist Ethan Page joined the commentary table for the match. After a hard-hitting bout, Starks drove Cage into the canvas with a Roshambo to advance to the finals.
Winner: Ricky Starks via pinfall
– A video promoting the “AEW: Fight Forever” game was played.
– A video package hyping up Saraya’s return to the ring aired.
– Backstage, Paquette interviewed Eddie Kingston ahead of his match with Jun Akiyama.
Eddie Kingston vs. Jun Akiyama
After a physical encounter, Kingston emerged victorious following a spinning strike to the head of Akiyama.
Winner: Eddie Kingston via pinfall
Both men bowed to each other, shook hands, and hugged after the match. Kingston grabbed the mic and paid tribute to some of the legendary names that passed away such as Inoki, Baba, and many others. Apparently, he was just stalling for time because he began to run down some of the matches on the PPV and then they went to the announce team to recap the rest of the card.
2022 AEW Full Gear Results
Pyro was set off in the arena. Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Taz were shown on commentary.
“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. Luchasaurus w/ Christian Cage in Steel Cage match
Perry attempted to get the better off Luchasaurus as the match got underway. Luchasaurus stopped the momentum of Perry with a big boot. Luchasaurus sent Perry’s face into the steel surrounding the ring. Perry was busted open. Luchasaurus continued to punish Perry by repeatedly crashing his body against the steel. Perry began to fight back by going after the arm of Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus immediately stopped Perry in his tracks and drove him into the mat.
At ringside, Cage quietly pulled the key to the cage from the referee on the outside. Security came down and dragged Cage away. The cage door was opened. Luchasaurus attempted to come to Cage’s aid, but Perry took him down. Luchasaurus sent Perry into the steel again. Luchasaurus sent a table and two steel chairs into the ring. Perry began to fight back once again as the action returned to the ring. Perry landed a Destroyer and followed it up by hitting Luchasaurus with a steel chair. Perry dropped Luchasaurus with a Killswitch onto the chair.
Luchasaurus replied and chokeslammed Perry onto the steel chair. Luchasaurus and Perry landed on the canvas from the top turnbuckle. Both men sat up in the center of the ring. Luchasaurus took control of the match and told Perry to stay down. Perry responded with a piledriver. Perry set up the table. Luchasaurus smartly flipped over the table. Luchasaurus landed a Tombstone and followed up by sending Perry down onto the mat. Luchasaurus set up the table. Perry replied and placed Luchasaurus on top of the table. Perry leaped from the top of the cage and delivered an elbow drop. Perry locked in a Snare Trap to win.

AEW World Trios Titles Match
The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks) vs. Death Triangle (PAC, Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero Miedo) (c)
The Elite made their entrance to Carry on Wayward Son. Omega and the Bucks had the rest of their crew with them and Don Calis was on commentary. There were “welcome back”, “f*ck CM Punk”, and “Colt Cabana” chants.
Omega and Pac started the match and then the Bucks went at it with the Lucha Brothers. Everybody ended up down but then they all kipped up at the same time. The crowd started an “AEW” chant.
Omega and Pac tagged back in. Omega hit a dive over the top to Pac and Penta on the outside. Matt gave Fenix a DDT on the apron and the crowd started a “this is awesome” chant. Nick then gave Fenix a hurricanrana to the outside onto the other competitors.
The Death Triangle built up momentum and hit triple tombstone piledrivers. Pac hit the black arrow on Omega and put on the brutalizer but it was broken up. The Lucha Brothers then hit dives to the Bucks on the outside. Pac tossed a hammer to Fenix but Fenix tossed it away. Omega hit the v-trigger and tiger driver 98 on Fenix but Fenix kicked out. The crowd started a “fight forever” chant.
Pac tried to hit Omega with the hammer but was stopped by Nick. Omega hit the v-trigger to Fenix and Pac handed the hammer to Fenix. Omega was about to hit the one winged angel but Fenix used the hammer and the referee didn’t see it. Fenix then pinned Omega to win the match.

AEW TBS Title Match
Nyla Rose vs. Jade Cargill (c)
Nyla Rose made her entrance with Vickie Guerrero in a low rider. Nyla attacked Kiera Hogan on the outside of the ring before the match started.
Jade and Nyla brawled on the outside. Nyla got the upper hand and sent Jade into the steps. Nyla sent Jade back into the ring and worked over her for several minutes. Nyla hit the diving knee drop but couldn’t put Jade away.
Nyla hit Jade’s Jaded finisher on her but Jade kicked out. Nyla missed a senton and Jade caught her with a pump kick. Jade then hit Jaded to score the victory.
Winner: Jade Cargill
Fatal 4 Way for the ROH World Title
Sammy Guevara vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho (c)
In the early moments, Jericho brawled with Claudio on the outside. Bryan hit a dive to Guevara but then Jericho sent Bryan into the steel steps.
Bryan and Claudio started working together against Jericho and Guevara. Bryan and Claudio shook hands but then started fighting each other in the spirit of competition. Bryan and Claudio worked together again and put Jericho in a submission but Guevara hit them with a double cutter. Jericho gave Guevara a hug.
Jericho and Guevara worked together to take control of the match. Bryan managed to fight back and Jericho hit a lionsault to both Bryan and Guevara. Jericho hit a codebreaker to Claudio but Guevara broke up the pin. Jericho was upset and the crowd chanted “you fucked up” at Guevara. Jericho and Guevara started fighting.
Bryan and Claudio put the sharpshooter and LeBell lock on Jericho at the same time but Guevara broke it up. Jericho and Guevara seemingly buried the hatchet but Guevara then hit the GTH on Jericho. Guevara hit a shooting star press but Jericho kicked out.
Claudio sent Jericho out of the ring but was caught with a running knee by Bryan. Bryan and Claudio traded elbow strikes and nearfalls. Guevara hit a top rope spanish fly to Bryan but Bryan countered into the LeBell lock. Jericho broke up the submission and then everyone ended up outside of the ring again.
Claudio did the big swing to Guevara bit Jericho caught Claudio with two Judas effects and scored the pinfall victory.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Saraya vs. Britt Baker
Saraya’s brother was at ringside for the match. Britt was by herself for the match. Britt and Saraya had a brief staredown before going at it as the crowd chanted “welcome back” at Saraya. Britt targeted the neck and gave Saraya a neckbreaker onto the floor.
Very slow match. Baker continued to work over the neck but couldn’t put her away. Saraya started to make a comeback but couldn’t sustain her momentum. Baker hit an air-raid crash but Saraya kicked out. Baker hit a curb stomp but Saraya kicked out again.
Baker applied the lockjaw but Saraya was able to escape. Baker hit another stomp but Saraya kicked out again. Saraya made another comeback and pinned Baker after hitting two “Rampaige” DDTs.
Winner: Saraya
Triple Threat for the AEW TNT Title
Samoa Joe vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Wardlow (c)
Wardlow went right after Joe and the two brawled on the outside of the ring but was then attacked by Hobbs. Back in the ring, Hobbs hit a delayed vertical suplex to Wardlow.
Wardlow started to fight back and hit a Whisper in the Wind off the top onto both Hobbs and Joe. Wardlow hit a spinebuster to Joe but Joe kicked out. Wardlow and Hobbs brawled on the outside of the ring and Joe hit a dive onto both of them. Joe went after Wardlow but then Hobbs tackled Joe into the barricade.
Back in the ring, Hobbs was unable to put away Wardlow. Wardlow hit Hobbs with multiple powerbombs. Joe hit Wardlow with the TNT title and applied his submission to Hobbs. Hobbs was already out from the powerbombs and the referee stopped the match to make Joe a double champion.
Winner and NEW TNT Champion: Samoa Joe
After the match, Joe left the ring with the ROH TV Title and TNT Title as Wardlow and Hobbs stared each other down in the ring.
– Chris Jericho is in the back with Jake Hager. Chris says that Sammy fighting him was expected because gold was on the line and that’s why he kept him by his side. Orange Cassidy is here and says Tomohiro Ishii wants a shot this Wednesday. Jericho says he still thinks of him as the young boy that got him coffee in Japan. Meanwhile, Jake Hager wants to know what’s in the backpack. It’s the All Atlantic title of course. Does Hager like it? He does? Does he want to fight for it? He sure does. Cool? Cool. This was just lovely. Also Danhausen was there and magically back to goofhausen.
Sting and Darby Allin vs. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal
This match had no disqualifications and no count-outs. Jarrett came to the ring with several people dressed up as Sting.
A bodybag appeared on the stage and Darby’s music stated playing. Darby ran out from the entrance and attacked Jay Lethal and the fake Stings with his skateboard. Meanwhile, Sting appeared in the ring behind Jarrett and the crowd stated a “TNA” chant.
The fight quickly went into the crowd. Darby set up a ladder on the stage, climbed it, and attempted a coffin drop to Jarrett but was caught by Satnam Singh. Singh tossed Darby onto the stage and then went over to Sting and Lethal. Singh caught Lethal off the platform but Sting was then able to take Singh down with a dive.
Everyone started following normal tag rules. Sting got a hot tag and applied the scorpion death lock to Jarrett. However, Singh got involved and chokeslammed Sting. Jarrett went for a cover but Sting kicked out.
Darby went for a coffin drop but Jarrett blasted him with a guitar. However, Darby popped back up with a second wind. Singh came back in but Sting got him in the scorpion death drop position. Darby came off the top with a coffin drop to Singh while Sting hit the death drop. Darby then pinned Lethal with the coffin drop.
Winners: Sting and Darby Allin
AEW Interim Women’s World Title Match
Jamie Hayter vs. Toni Storm (c)
Storm knocked Hayter to the outside early with a hip attack and continued her attack on the floor. Hayter turned the tide and sent Storm into the barricade. Storm was able to counter Hayter and sent her into the ring post. Both eventually ended up back in the ring.
Hayter took control of the match but started having issues with the referee. Storm hit another hip attack and a cross body off the top but Hayter kicked out.
Rebel ran down to ringside as Storm and Hayter traded shots. Storm was busted open from one of the strikes. Hayter then hit Storm with the title while the referee was distracted. Hayter then hit a lariat but Storm kicked out.
Storm recovered and hit the storm zero but Hayter kicked out. Baker got on the apron and Storm knocked her off. Hayter took advantage and hit the Hate breaker but Storm kicked out yet again.
Baker exposed the turnbuckle pad. Storm was sent into it and Hayter pinned Storm with a lariat to win the interim title.

AEW World Tag Team Titles Match
Swerve In Our Glory vs. The Acclaimed (c)
Billy Gunn was not at ringside with The Acclaimed. Acclaimed had early momentum and were able to send Lee out of the ring. They hit “scissor me timbers” to Swerve as Lee got back on the apron.
Swerve in our Glory were able gain the upper hand. Swerve placed a piece of the guardrail up against the ring as Lee worked over Bowens. The announcers were playing up how Bowens was not 100%.
Caster was eventually able to get the hot tag and delivered some offense on Lee and Swerve. Bowens tagged back in and hit a cutter but Swerve kicked out. Lee saved Swerve from landing on the guardrail. However, Caster hit a crossbody to Lee off the apron through the guardrail.
Swerve hit several kicks to the head of Bowens but Bowens remained defiant. Swerve hit another kick but Bowens managed to kick out. Bowens avoided the swerve stomp and tagged in Caster. Caster hit the mic drop to Swerve but Lee broke up the pin.
Lee tagged in and the tide turned. Lee and Swerve hit the powerbomb/stomp combo to Caster but Caster kicked out. Bowens tagged in and Caster was thrown over the timekeeper’s table by Swerve. Swerve grabbed pliers but Billy Gunn ran down to make the save. As the referees were dealing with Gunn, Swerve handed the pliers to Lee but Lee threw them down. Swerve slapped Lee. Lee helped up Bowens and walked out on Swerve. Acclaimed then finished off Swerve and scored the pinfall victory.
Winners: The Acclaimed
AEW World Title Match
MJF vs. Jon Moxley (c)
The crowd was behind MJF and chanted “new champ” while Moxley received a mixed reaction.
Moxley smacked MJF right in the face when the match started. MJF slapped Moxley and Moxley responded with several shots. Moxley started biting MJF and then flipped off the crowd.
MJF gained the upper hand and did Ric Flair’s strut to taunt Moxley. MJF teased doing a dive to the outside but just kept running the ropes.
The two fought on the outside of the ring and MJF was sent into the steel steps. Back in the ring, MJF started to build up momentum. MJF went back to the outside and brought the timekeeper’s table by the ring. Moxley took advantage of the situation and regained control.
The two ended up on the apron and MJF gave Moxley a tombstone but then started selling his knee. MJF went for a cover but Moxley kicked out. They ended up back on the apron but this time Moxley gave MJF a piledriver through the timekeeper’s table.
MJF was barely able to beat the ten count. Moxley immediately hit a paradigm shift but MJF kicked out.
Moxley targeted the leg and put on a figure four leglock but MJF was eventually able to reverse the hold. Both ended up on the top rope and Moxley managed to hit an avalanche paradigm shift. However, MJF was able to grab the rope. Moxley started taunting MJF and said “hit me motherfucker.” MJF tried to fight back and the two started trading blows.
The referee got knocked down and MJF pulled the Dynamite diamond ring from his trunks. William Regal came down to ringside and told MJF to put it down. MJF got rid of the ring and flipped off Regal. Moxley applied a chokehold to MJF but MJF broke out. A 2nd referee came in but was also knocked down.
Moxley applied the bulldog choke and MJF tapped out but the referee was still down. Regal then slid the brass knuckles to MJF and he hit Moxley with them. MJF then pinned Moxley to win the title.
Winner and NEW AEW World Champion: MJF
MJF celebrates in the ring and on the ramp on his way back to the stage as Full Gear went of the air.
