At last night’s WWE SmackDown, during the four-way second chance match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament, Brooke superplexed Nikki A.S.H from the middle rope onto a pile of wrestlers at ringside. Nikki’s foot hit the barricade during the spot, and it appeared that’s she suffered an injury.
The finish of the bout saw Deville toss A.S.H inside the ring and quickly pinned her. Post-match, Nikki was checked out by the WWE medical staff before Doudrop helped carry her to the back.
Nikki and Doudrop were arguing in the background of a Sonya Deville promo segment later in the show, and Nikki appeared to be fine. However, this could’ve been taped before the match.
When Nikki and Doudrop were paired up a few months ago, they began teasing trouble between them within the first few weeks but that had cooled off for a while. Now it looks like the split is happening with perhaps, Nikki completely ditching the superhero gimmick that has been toned down in recent weeks.
However, if the plan is for Doudrop and Nikki to feud against each other, it looks like that program will be delayed because Nikki suffered an injury last night. The injury seemed bad enough that it might sideline her for a while.
