Fans Turning On Liv Morgan – WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan was interviewed before the #1 Contender Gauntlet Match on tonight’s SmackDown. Scroll down to see a clip from the segment.
Morgan talked about retaining her title during her match with Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam but fans seemed to turn against her. There were audible boos heard during her segment, a 180 from the reactions she’s been getting through most of this year.
Some of the criticism online in recent days from fans is that Morgan hasn’t been booked to look like a true champion and instead, she’s been made to look like someone who is barely lucky to have the title because she hasn’t been given decisive wins yet on pay-per-view.
Perhaps, the crowd reaction will cause Triple H to adjust how she’s been booked so far. Also, as you can see below, some of the WWE talent is not happy about the negative fan reaction. Kayla Braxton, who was in the ring with Morgan, and Rhea Ripley commented on the fans at the show.
Ripley tweeted the following while staying in character: “The @WWE Universe booing @YaOnlyLivvOnce… Fickle. Liv there’s still room if you decide to stop caring about everyone’s opinion. #JoinUs #TheJudgmentDay #WWESmackdown”
Braxton tweeted, “For those wondering why I looked annoyed – I was disappointed with the disrespectful chants towards our SD Womens Champion. @YaOnlyLivvOnce is so deserving so hush it when she speaks!”
