Backstage News On Karrion Kross’ WWE Return – Karrion Kross and Scarlett returned to WWE on Friday’s episode of SmackDown by attacking Drew McIntyre, who was having a promo segment with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns ahead of their Clash at the Castle match.
Scarlett turned over the hourglass, and Kross told Reigns that time was ticking.
Fightful Select reports a specific pitch within creative was made about Kross being inserted into the McIntyre-Reigns feud and being involved in a match for one of Reigns’ world titles, as opposed to both.
Also, it was said the USA Network wanted a top title featured on WWE Raw more often as Reigns is rarely seen on their show since winning the WWE Title from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38.
One USA Network pitch was to even have an interim title, though it’s unknown whether this was ever seriously considered by WWE.
As previously reported, Kross was a name that WWE considered bringing back now that Triple H is in charge. Under Triple H’s leadership in NXT, Kross was booked as a top star.
