It looks like this year’s WWE SummerSlam premium live event will be a TV-14 product.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast noted on Twitter the event is currently listed as a TV-14 event on the Peacock app. Zarian was the first to break the news about a memo sent out within USA Network last Thursday about Raw’s TV rating changing from PG to TV-14.
It was apparently sent out prematurely, and the decision was not finalized. There were ‘mixed signals’ given internally about the change.
In another SummerSlam news, DJ Valentino Khan is returning to the stage at the biggest event of the summer.
As seen below, Khan released a video today where he’s called by SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan. The champ then invites Khan to perform at SummerSlam later this month.
This will be Khan’s third WWE performance. He performed at SummerSlam 2021, and at both nights of WrestleMania 38 earlier this year.
WWE SummerSlam is scheduled for Saturday, July 30 from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN.
