WWE SmackDown Results (3/18) Charlotte, NC – Once again, we begin with highlights of Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns from the MSG Show.

We are live from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, as Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring accompanied by Paul Heyman and The Usos.

As usual, Reigns asks the crowd of Charlotte to ackowledge him. He says this is the Road to Wrestlemania and he gets to see Brock for the first time since he smashed him at Madison Square Garden and made hiim bleed.  Roman says he will do the same thing to Brock.

Paul apologizes to Roman for apologizing and he says that Brock’s plane was grounded earlier today and he will not be here tonight. Roman says he wants Brock here as much as the fans do.  He does not want to blame Brock or the weather.  Brock is afraid of him.  He is scared of the tribal chief and the head of the table.  

Paul has another update and Roman does not want Paul to interrupt him. Roman says they paid to see him and want to hear what he has to say. Paul says that Brock has landed and he is on his way to the building. Roman says that Paul said he wasn’t here tonight.

Roman says he knows what he is going to do.  He tells Paul to wrap it up. Roman leaves the ring with The Usos and Paul follows him to the back.

The camera cuts backstage and we see The Bloodline quickly walking to their black SUV. Paul Heyman is with them. They quickly get in the truck with Roman Reigns sitting in the back seat. We suddenly hear the horn of a forklift in the distance. Heyman screams out as we see a smiling Brock Lesnar drive the forks through the windows of the SUV. SmackDown goes right to a commercial break.

— Back from the break and we see how Lesnar continued to honk the horn while trapping The Bloodline in the SUV with the forks. Lesnar enjoys himself as he tips the SUV over on its die. We also see how SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and Reigns escaped to get into a pick-up. They went to drive away but Lesnar hopped off the forklift, and ran over to the truck. Lesnar opened the passenger doors to try and grab The Usos but Reigns sped away. Lesnar ripped the door off the truck instead of the door running him over. A furious Lesnar yelled out as Reigns drove away with The Usos in the truck. He then picked up his cowboy hat and smiled, and picked up the truck door. Lesnar marches to the ring now.

In the Arena:

Lesnar comes out to the stage as his music hits and the pyro goes off. He’s carrying the truck door. Lesnar drops the door to finish his entrance, but then he picks it back up and marches to the ring. Lesnar brings the door into the ring and he’s ready to fight as fans cheer him on. Lesnar stomps on the truck door a few times. Lesnar asks the crowd to excuse him because he’s a little riled up. Lesnar says Reigns has done unleashed a bi-polar beast, son. Lesnar says Reigns can run and hide but in two weeks at WrestleMania 38, Lesnar is going to do more than blow the doors off him. Lesnar yells out and says he’s coming for blood, and Reigns best be prepared. Lesnar says he will see Reigns in two weeks, buddy. Lesnar drops the mic and puts his cowboy hat back on. He marches out of the ring but stops to smile at the crowd, raising his hat to them.

— We see what happened last week when Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura earned their tag title match at Wrestlemania. Rick Boogs introduces Shinsuke Nakamura asn Pat McAfee goes crazy and we go to commercial. 

Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs vs. Los Lotharios

Carrillo and Nakamura start things off.  Nakamura tells Carrillo to come on and then Nakamura with a knee drop and then he kicks Carrillo in the corner.  Nakamura puts Carrillo on the turnbuckles and connects with a running knee for a near fall.  Nakamura with a side head lock.  Carrillo with a reversal and Garza tags in.  Nakamrua with a knee to Carrillo but Garza with a forearm.  Carrillo sends Nakamura into the air and Garza with a punch.  The pants come off and Carrillo tags in.  Carrillo with a leap frog splash and a double drop kick for a near fall.  Nakamura with kicks and he misses an enzuigiri.  Carrillo with an elbow drop to the back.  Garza tags in and kicks Nakamura in the ribs.  Garza with crossfaces.

Garza with a kick to the ribs followed by an Irish whip and splash.  Carrillo tags in and he drop kicks Boogs off the apron.  Garza and Carrillo with splashes to Nakamura followed by a punch from Garza.  Carrillo gets a near fall.  Carrillo with a head lock and Nakamura escapes with a hip toss.  Boogs tags in and he punches Garza and follows with double sledges.  Boogs presses Carrillo over his head and does reps 10 times.  Boogs tosses Carrillo into Garza.  Boogs blocks a punch and Boogs does curls with Garza and hits a power slam for the three count.

Winners:  Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs

— We take a look at the Viking Raiders being attacked last week before the scheduled six man tag match.

— We go back to the ring and out first comes The Viking Raiders – Erik and Ivar. They wait on the stage and out next comes Drew McIntyre to a big pop. Drew carries his sword, Angela, out as the flames shoot up and they head to the ring. Drew poses in the corner while Erik and Ivar stand guard behind him. The flames shoot up from the ring posts as we go back to commercial.

Drew McIntyre and The Viking Raiders vs. Happy Baron Corbin, Jinder Mahal and Shanky

Before the match, Megan is in the back with Riddick Moss, Baron Corbin, Jinder Mahal, and Shanky.  Megan is asked if the ambush backfired and Baron asks if she saw what happened.  Wrestlemania will be the greatest weekend of his life.  He asks Moss to tell a joke.  

Erik and Shanky start things off and Erik goes after Shanky.  Shanky with a punch.  Jinder tags in and Erik with a spinebuster. Ivar tags in and punches Mahal.  Mahal with a knee and elbow to the back of the head.  Corbin tags in and punches Ivar.  Corbin with a shoulder tckle and Ivar sends Corbin to teh floor.  Ivar with punches and Corbin with a spinebuster.  Corbin punches Drew and Drew gets in the ring and the referee sends him to the apron.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Corbin with a splash to Ivar and Mahal tags in and gets a near fall.  Mahal with a half nelson and chin bar.  Ivar with an elbow in the corner and he fights his way out and hits a seated splash.  Corbin tags in and he sends Ivar into the turnbuckles and follows with a splash.  Erik gets knocked off the apron and Drew with a head butt to Mahal.  Ivar avoids a punch and Drew tags in.  Shanky tags in and Drew with clotheslines.  Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Mahal.  Drew with a Michinoku Driver to Shanky.  Drew with a Claymore to Shanky for the three count.

Winners:  Drew McIntyre and The Viking Raiders

— We take a look back at last week’s match between Ricochet and Sami Zayn.

Backstage:

Sami Zayn says he should be the Intercontinental Champion but it is because of Johnny KNoxville.  He has ruined his life and gotten under his skin through juvenile stunts.  I am going to show you what it truly means to step into my world.  If you have the balls you say you have, let’s make our match at Wrestlemania ANYTHING GOES.

We go to commercial.

Sasha Banks and Naomi vs. Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley

Carmella and Zelina Vega are at the announce table to watch the match.

Sasha and Liv start things off and Naomi tags in and connects with a shoulder.  Sasha tags in and sends Liv to the mat with an arm wringer.  Liv with a waist lock and Sasha with a standing switch.  Liv with a single leg take down and Sasha with a hip toss and Liv lands on her feet and points to the sign.  Sasha with a chop and then she goes to teh ropes and hits a springboard wrist lock take down.  Liv with a rollup for a near fall.  Sasha with a rollup for a near fall.  Liv and Sasha go for drop kicks at the same time.

Sasha offers her hand and Liv shakes it but Sasha with a side head lock.  Naomi tags in and Sasha Irish whips Liv into her rear end in the corner.  Naomi with a split leg drop for a near fall.  Rhea tags in and she drop kicks Naomi.  Rhea gets a near fall.  Rhea goes for a slam but Naomi escapes and applies a side head lock.  Rhea with an Irish whip and Naomi tries to float over and Rhea catches her.  Sasha tags in and kicks Rhea.  Sasha goes for a suplex and Rhea blocks it.  Rhea gets Sasha up for a delayed vertical suplex and hits it for a near fall.

Liv tags in and Rhea Irish whips Liv into Sasha in the corner.  Liv gets a near fall.  Sasha with a jaw breaker and Naomi tags in and hits a spinning jaw breaker.  Liv sends Sasha to teh floor and she does the same to Naomi.  Rhea tags in and she hits a cannonball onto Sasha and Naomi.

We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Ripley covers Naomi for 2. Vega and Carmella are still having words at ringside. Naomi and Ripley tangle now. Naomi with a big springboard kick. Banks and Morgan rally from the apron now. They both tag in and unload on each other. Banks with the double knees in the corner, then the second rope Meteora for a close 2 count. Banks can’t believe it. Banks looks to put Liv away but Liv nails a step-up enziguri to drop her.

Ripley tags in and nails a missile dropkick to Banks for a close 2 count. Ripley can’t believe it now. Banks blocks the Riptide and drops Ripley with a Backstabber. Banks tags out and nails a splash from the top. Naomi follows up with a split-legged moonsault from the top but Liv breaks the pin up just in time. Banks and Naomi toss Liv to the floor.

Fans chant “this is awesome!” as Banks and Naomi take Ripley to the top for a double team. They go for the double superplex but Liv comes back in and brings them all to the mat. Vega and Carmella are shocked. Natalya and Shayna Baszler suddenly hit the ring and attack the other four Superstars as the referee calls the bell.

No Contest

After the bell, Natalya and Baszler destroy the others. They send Ripley into the ring post and then drop Liv as she tries to make the save. Vega and Carmella hit the ring to join the brawl. It comes down to Natalya and Baszler standing tall, while the champs also stand tall and raise their titles in the air. The crowd boos everyone. Natalya points up at the WrestleMania sign as she and Baszler taunt the champs.

– We get a video message from Johnny Knoxville. He accepts Sami Zayn’s challenge to add the “Anything Goes” stipulation to their WrestleMania match.

– We go back to Cole and McAfee at ringside. Cole says McAfee is being summoned to Mr. McMahon’s office, perhaps to apologize. McAfee doesn’t believe it at first but Cole tells him Mr. McMahon wants to see him now. McAfee gets up from the table as we go back to commercial.

— We are back and Shayna and Natalya are walking in the back and Sonya Deville stops them and says that she loved what they did.  Now they are officially added to the Women’s Tag Title Match at Wrestlemania.

— We see Vince McMahon’s door and we see Pat walking out of the door.

In the Arena:

Pat makes his way back to the ring. Pat says on some random Monday when he was 11 year old, he turned on USA Network and saw something that immediately changed his life.  When I saw professional wrestling for the first time, my life changed immediately.  I saw something that inspired me.  I saw something that was magical.  I saw something that would shape me forever.  When all hell broke loose, I found what I was put on this Earth to do.  Other professions got in the way and I got a call from Michael Cole to ask if I wanted to work on Smackdown.  I said Hell Yeah.  I told Michael I have been dreaming about being in the WWE and traveling to cities like Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pat is interrupted by Austin Theory, who makes his way to the ring.

Pat says he was told that he should apologize to you or lose my dream of a Wrestlemania match.  Pat tells Austin that he is so.. He says he apo… Pat tells Austin that he is sorry for beating his ass last week and I’m sorry your parents raised a douchebag.  I am sorry I made you relevant.  I apologize that you are a punk bitch.

Austin takes a selfie and he pushes Pat and leaves the ring.

– We see what happened earlier tonight with Brock Lesnar and The Bloodline. Cole hypes the Winner Takes All match at WrestleMania 38 as McAfee returns to the commentary table.

Kofi Kingston vs. Ridge Holland

We go back to the ring and out comes Kofi Kingston by himself. Cole mentions the broken neck suffered by Big E last week. Cole sends us to a commercial break that includes the final part of the Toyota Tundra commercial series with Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs.

Kofi with punches as the bell rings.  Holland with a side head lock take down.  Kofi with a jumping back elbow.  Ridge pushes Kofi down in the corner.  Kofi is sent to the apron and Kofi with apunch.  Holland goes over the top rope to the floor when Kofi drops down.  Kofi kicks Holland and then Kofi with a springboard punch.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Kofi with punches but Holland with a reverse chin lock.  We see footage of Sheamus pulling Kofi from the apron to the floor.  Kofi with a jaw breaker.  Ridge misses a European uppercut and hits the ropes.  Kofi with kicks and chops.  Kofi with a jumping clothesline and he hits a Boom Drop.  Kofi sets for Trouble in Paradise but Holland catches Kofi.  Kofi goes to the apron and hits a pendulum kick.  Kofi goes up top and Sheamus gets on the apron.  Butch pushes Kofi off the turnbuckles.  The referee sends Sheamus and Butch to the back.

Kofi with a rollup and a curb stomp.  Butch is held back by SHeamus and Holland with a forearm to the head and Northern Grit for the three count.

Winner:  Ridge Holland

— We take a look at a video package for Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.

— Charlotte makes her way to the ring as we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Charlotte says when you are Charlotte Flair . . . you always have a plan.  I showed that one trick pony why I am the most dominant, most vicious, and most decorated champion of all time.  Who knew you could smash someone’s head into a car and dent it.  I have been playing that over and over.  I had Ronda seconds from tapping and the referees and officials pulled me off.  That is a taste of what will happen at Wrestlemania.  I will send you back to the bottom because my legcy is bigger than yours.

When you lose at Wrestlemania, you will run away and pop out another baby.  You don’t have the spine or the passion to become the thirteen time women’s champion.  

I don’t want to wait until Wrestlemania to eviscerate you.  I want you to come out and get destroyed in my home town.

Ronda Rousey is walking in the back and Kayla asks Ronda if this is a trap. She’s not in the mood and she makes her way to the ring as Charlotte gets a kendo stick sitting next to the ring post and she misses.

Ronda with punches but Charlotte with a knee.  Ronda with a take down and she tries for an arm bar and Charlotte gets to the floor.  Charlotte trips Ronda on the apron.  Ronda sends Charlotte into the rng post a few times.  Ronda blocks a kick and applies an ankle lock.  Charlotte hits Ronda with a conveniently placed kendo stick.  Charlotte chokes Ronda with the kendo stick and stretches her.  Charlotte power bombs Ronda through the announce table.
