WWE Re-Signs Drake Maverick – PWInsider is reporting that Drake Maverick is back with WWE but he will not be wrestling, at least not anytime in the near future.
Maverick, real name James Curtin, will work behind the scenes on the Raw Creative Team. He started 3-4 weeks ago.
Curtin started with WWE back in 2017 as the Raw General Manager and he was the manager of the Authors of Pain for a few months. He was eventually slotted in the cruiserweight division on 205 Live and in the 24/7 Title segments. He was released in 2020 but after releasing an emotional video on social media, he was quickly brought back on the NXT brand by Triple H.
He was released again in November due to budget cuts. Curtin was well-liked by everyone in the company and he is said to have a good mind for the wrestling business so bringing him back is a good move by WWE.
