After MJF’s promo, there was an excellent in-ring segment featuring Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
Kingston said he is not a sports entertainer and did not know why he and Jericho were in the ring doing a talking segment. Kingston made a reference to the sports entertainment down the street, a reference to WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, not far from tonight’s Dynamite in Bridgeport, CT.
Jericho said he made it to the big time at 22 years old and Kingston didn’t make it until 38 and he thinks that Kingston is jealous of that because deep down he doesn’t think that he can achieve what Jericho has achieved and he can’t be on Jericho’s level.
Kingston said he’s not like the carnies who lie and Jericho leaches off of people. Jericho said Kingston’s own uncle and father were failures and Kingston feels like he’s just like them and Kingston can’t win the big one. Jericho then called himself “the big one in this company” and he accepted the challenge to wrestle at AEW Revolution.
Kingston said he wants a serious Chris Jericho…the Jericho that bled buckets in Tennessee and the Jericho that turned WCW upside down. Kingston said he wants the Jericho that Levesque (Triple H) hated.
