During tonight’s AEW Dynamite episode, MJF cut an in-ring promo that was different from previous promos.
MJF talked about being bullied in school and having quarters thrown at him. MJF said that when he was bullied, he went to meet his idol CM Punk and on that day is when he promised to be just like his hero and he would not be afraid to speak up for himself. MJF said he had severe ADD and he was called “Jew boy” but all he knew that he wanted to be a pro wrestler like his hero CM Punk.
MJF said that in January of 2014, Punk left him when he needed him most and when the fans needed him most. MJF said it was at that time that he buried his dreams until he saw a photograph of Punk shaking hands with Bryan Danielson.
MJF said he was livid and on that day he promised to become the “best in the world” in spite of CM Punk and he promised that he would not leave the people high and dry like Punk did. MJF promised that he would not quit in the Dog Collar match against Punk at Revolution.
Punk walked out and asked MJF if what he was saying was real.
