— We start off with a graphic In Memory of Black Jack Lanza.
— We are live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, as Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring… by wheelchair. We take a look at the way that Brock Lesnar manipulated Sami Zayn into getting destroyed by Roman Reigns last week on Smackdown instead of at Day One.
Zayn introduces himself and says he is the toughest man in WWE history, don’t judge it on what you see right now, but what it took to put him in this state. Zayn says it took two of the most dominant Superstars in WWE history to do this to him. Zayn says isn’t it weird how two guys that can’t stand each other worked together to make sure he didn’t win the WWE Universal Title. He doesn’t want to call it a conspiracy, but come on… he was robbed. Zayn says what hurt the most wasn’t the first or second F5 from Lesnar, but the betrayal.
Zayn says now he has to do something about it, he has to do something right, he has to stand by his convictions… he must sue. Zayn gets more boos as he goes on about suing Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce, the referee, Reigns, Lesnar, Paul Heyman, everybody who had anything to do with robbing him of his Universal Title opportunity. Heyman interrupts on the mic and comes out apologizing about how we’ve had to listen to this spiel on suing and litigation from Zayn. Heyman says Zayn is doing “his people’s shtick” because “his people” run the show. This is another reference by Heyman to his Jewish heritage. Heyman goes to do his usual introduction but Sami interrupts, saying he’s trying to talk and Heyman is blocking his shot. Heyman goes on with his introduction of The Tribal Chief, but Zayn says he wasn’t finished talking. Sami says he also knows Reigns isn’t here tonight. Heyman says Reigns is on a one-week sabbatical, training for WWE Day 1 on The Isle of Samoa.
Sami is up out of his wheelchair now, threatening to rip Heyman’s head off. Sami and his nurses back Heyman into the corner. Sami says Reigns isn’t here tonight so no one is here to save Heyman. The music interrupts and out comes Lesnar to a huge pop. Lesnar is wearing overhalls, and laughing. Sami and his nurses stand guard. Lesnar grabs a steel chair from ringside, smashes the announce table with it, and walks around the ring as Heyman looks shocked.
Lesnar takes the chair in the ring and sits it up. He takes a seat but gets up to get a mic as a “Suplex City” chant breaks out. Lesnar asks how Sami is doing. Sami, who is now back in his wheelchair, says he’s not great. Lesnar laughs at the wheelchair, the neck brace and the male nurses. Sami says this all Lesnar’s fault. Lesnar goes on but Sami tells him to shut up. Lesnar says he thinks they got off on the wrong foot. Brock apologizes but wants to know how bad it really hurts on a 1-10 scale. Sami says it’s a 10 on the physical scale, but his feelings are hurt on a 20. Lesnar says he’s feeling Sami. Lesnar baits Sami into thinking there might be a chance of a friendship here. Lesnar asks Sami if he really thought he could beat Reigns. Lesnar says he did Sami a favor but Sami doesn’t agree. Lesnar says Sami was never going to beat Reigns that night and Sami knows it. Sami asks if Lesnar really beat him up so that Reigns’ win over him wouldn’t really count. Lesnar says Sami is a smart kid. Lesnar asks Sami what part of Canada he’s from, and he says Montreal, so Lesnar speaks some in French. Sami says they don’t talk like that.
Lesnar says he’s trying to lighten tings up, from one Canadian to another. He invites Sami to Saskatchewan so they can go hunting. Sami says he’s vegan and he’s been meaning to talk to Lesnar about… Lesnar says come on, let’s get out of Hollywood and go do something more fun. Sami says that’s not a bad idea. Lesnar starts to wheel Sami away in his wheelchair. Heyman comes from behind with a mic and asks what the hell is he looking at here. Heyman says he must’ve spent too much time at the dispensary and the edibles are kicking in. Heyman says three years ago this would’ve been an automatic trip to Suplex City but instead he’s watching Canadian Besties about to go moose hunting in Saskatchewan. Heyman goes on with one of his typical introductions, hyping Lesnar up, and refers to Lesnar as the likely future, reigning and defending WWE Universal Champion… Lesnar suddenly snaps and destroys Sami’s two nurses, tossing them out of the ring. Heyman exits the ring as Lesnar stares Sami down, seething now. Lesnar attacks Sami and sends the wheelchair flying as well. Lesnar levels Sami in the middle of the ring with the F5. Lesnar’s music hits now as Sami sells the attack on the mat. Heyman watches from ringside. Lesnar stands tall and makes his exit, stopping on the stage to look back at the ring.
– Still to come, RK-Bro are here to face The Usos and The New Day in a non-title Triple Threat. Cole says we will also try to get a word with Brock Lesnar. We go to commercial.
— We are back and Brock walks in the back and Kayla Braxton ambushes him to ask why did he come to the ring. Brock says to ask his advocate, Paul Heyman.
Los Lotharios vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs
Boogs with a punch t Carrillo and Boogs with a POUNCE. Garza with a knee to the back but Boogs biels Angel into the ring. Boogs presses Garza over his head and sends him to the floor. Carrillo rakes the eyes and punches Boogs. Boogs spins Carrillo and Nakamura with a kick to Carrillo for the three count.
Winners: Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs
— We see a giant purple velvet stand and Kofi tells The Viking Raiders not now. Drew Gulak, Mansoor, and Ricochet are also there.

Backstage:
We go to the back for the unveiling of a new crown for Xavier Woods. Kofi Kingston tells everyone to prepare to take in the presence of Xavier Woods. Kofi says it is a very special day. He will show the new crown. We see the new crown and Woods puts it on. Woods says the crown was made from unicorn horns. Tonight they will take on the Raw and Smackdown tag team champions to prove that they are they greatest tag taam in WWE.
— We take a look at what Drew McIntyre did two weeks ago when he wasn’t put in the Battle Royal. Then we see what Drew had to say last week.
Backstage:
Adam Pearce is in his office and there is no knock on his door, but there is a large Scottish man with a sword. Drew says he heard Adam was the reason he wasn’t in the battle royal. Adam says Sonya came up with the list along with a higher authority’s approval. The higher authority said that Drew cannot take his sword to the ring. Drew decides to leave his sword with Adam’s desk.
— We see Cesaro watching the monitor in the back while Sheamus makes his way to the ring. Back to commercial.
Backstage:
Toni Storm is in the back and she smiles as Sasha Banks shows up. Sasha says she knows that Charlotte says she is not on her level but Sasha says that Toni has it. There has never been a hybrid competitor like Toni. Sasha says she has never seen Charlotte that angry before. Toni says piebacks are a bitch. Sasha tells Toni not to lose her cool until Charlotte does.
Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre
The bell rings and they start brawling. Drew rocks Sheamus but gets kicked, then beat down with a forearm. Drew turns it around in the corner and delivers a big chop. Drew with another big chop in the corner . Sheamus fights out and clotheslines Drew. Sheamus keeps control and goes for 10 Beats of the Bodhrán but Drew counters mid-move and fights back. Sheamus drops Drew over the top rope with a Stunner.
Sheamus then delivers all of the 10 Beats of the Bodhrán, sending Drew to the floor. Sheamus leaps off the apron but Drew ducks and Sheamus lands hard. Drew sends Sheamus flying in front of the announce table with a belly-to-belly suplex. We go to commercial.
We are back and Sheamus goes for an Air Raid Crash but Drew goes for a sunset flip. Sheamus counters with a uranage back breaker for a near fall. Sheamus gets Drew on his shoulders but Drew gets to his feet and he chops Sheamus and hits a Future Shock. Drew sets for a Claymore but Sheamus with a jumping knee for a near fall. Sheamus sets for a Brogue Kick. Sheamus misses and Drew with a rollup for a near fall. Sheamus goes for a slam but Drew gets to his feet and Drew with a head butt. Sheamus with a head butt. Sheamus with an Irish whip and Drew with a Claymore out of the corner for the three count.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
— Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss are pushing Drew’s sword away in Pearce’s desk.
— We have a video package for Jack Lanza.
— Naomi makes her way to the ring for her match against Sonya Deville. If any, it will be after a commercial.
Backstage:
Paul Heyman walks in the back and his sweetie ambushes him. Kayla asked Paul about Brock’s comments so she is asking Paul if he is the advocate for Brock Lesnar. Paul tells Kayla to stop doing that too. He tells Kayla good night. Kayla asks Paul how will Roman Reigns react to what happened tonight. Paul has the look on his face like someone took the final pickle from the table at Carnegie’s.
Naomi vs. Sonya Deville
Naomi says Sonya knows what she did so Naomi says she knows what is going to happen tonight. She tells Cruella to take off the suit and get what is coming.
Sonya takes the mic and she says we will get to the match, but she has some special guests. Natalya is the guest ring announcer. Your guest timekeeper is Shayna Baszler.
Before the match starts Naomi goes after Shayna and bulldogs Shayna into the apron. Natalya goes to the apron and Naomi is not going to order the White Castle deal so she kicks Natalya. Sonya goes to the floor and she tells Sonya and Natalya to go after Naomi.
Xia Li makes her way to the ring to help Naomi. Xia punches Natalya and connects with a back fist and a back heel kick. Shyana misses a clothesline and Naomi with a springboard round kick. Xia and Naomi surround Sonya and Naomi misses a punch but Xia does not miss a back heel kick. Shayna pulls Sonya to safety.
— Riddle and Randy Orton are in the back and Riddle calls over the cast of Jackass Forever. He asks them for some advice in their match tonight. Riddle asks Orton if he has anything to add, but Orton walks away.
Charlotte Flair vs. Toni Storm
Flair with a forearm as the bell rings. Charlotte pie faces Storm and goes for a slam but Toni escapes. Toni with a drop kick. Toni with a running hip into the corner. Storm with a waist lock and Flair with an elbow. Storm with a cross body for a near fall. Storm with European uppercuts. Storm misses a knee but goes through the legs. Storm with a boot in the corner but Storm runs into a boot. Flair walks across the chest and goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault. Storm moves and Flair goes for the Andrade but overshoots Storm. Flair gets a near fall. Charlotte with kicks to the hamstring but Toni with an inside cradle for a near fall. Storm with a German suplex for a near fall.
Charlotte goes to the apron. Charlotte drops Toni on the top rope and sends Storm’s head into the ring post. Charlotte with kicks against the ring post and the referee warns Charlotte. Charlotte with more kicks against the ring post and the referee gets to five and calls for the bell.
Winner by DQ: Toni Storm
After the match, Flair with a running boot to Storm.
Backstage:
Adam Pearce is in the back and Brock Lesnar shows up and Adam might need some new pants.
Brock asks Adam if he remembers the suspension Adam gave him along with that fine. Brock says he never had a chance to say thank you. He heard that fine went to charity. Because of his suspension, he had some time off and he got to enjoy hunting and he scored a giant moose. He says it weighed 2,000 pounds and she shows Adam a photo on his flip phone but he can’t find it so he breaks the phone. Brock says he strung that moose up and skinned and gutted it. There must have been 225 pounds of guts in that moose. Then he butchered the thing. Brock asks Adam if he ever tasted moose. Brock says he likes the taste of it.
Brock thanks Adam and he says he named the moose after Pearce. He asks how could he remember that moose. He wants to remember that he got to be suspended and enjoy his favorite pasttime, moose hunting. He named the moose Pearce.
Adam thanks him as his voice almost cracks. Pearce leaves his office.
The Usos vs. New Day vs. RK-Bro
The Usos have mics. Jey says it looks like Woods has a new crown. Do they care about that? Jimmy says no. Jey says RK Bro is in the back and do they care? Jimmy says no. Jimmy says they are looking forward to the win at Day One since they run this place.
— The New Day are out next as we go to commercial.
Riddle and Kofi start things off and Riddle goes for the leg and takes Kofi down with a waist lock. Kofi with a rollup when Riddle goes for a triangle. Kofi with an elbow and Riddle with an elbow. Kofi with a drop kick out of the corner for a near fall. Woods tags in and Kofi with a slingshot splash and Woods with a fist drop for a near fall. Woods with a reverse chin lock. Riddle with a forearm and Woods fires back. Woods with a thrust kick to the knee and Woods bows and hits a sliding flatliner for a near fall. Riddle with forearms and Woods with a forearm of his own. Riddle with a foerarm as Woods hits the ropes. Riddle with a kick to Woods and Jey tags in and punches Riddle.
Jimmy and Jey knock Orton off the apron. Jimmy and Jey with stereo suicide dives onto everyone as we go to commercial.
We are back and Woods with a rolling elbow to Jey. Kofi tags in and Kofi with a shoulder. Woods with a rollup and Kofi with a cross body. Riddle tags in and gives Jey a gutwrench suplex for a near fall. Jimmy tags in and he grabs Riddle from the apron and Jey punches Riddle. Orton goes after Jey but the referee sends Orton to the corner. Jimmy sends Riddle into the ring post. Jimmy with a kick to Riddle and he stomps on the hand. Jimmy chops Riddle. Jey tags in and Jimmy with a back breaker and Jey with a chop off the turnbuckles. Jey tells Riddle to go ahead and make the tag but he gives Riddle a rear chin lock. Riddle tries to make the tag but Jey sends Riddle into the corner.
Riddle avoids a splash and Jimmy goes to the floor. Riddle kicks Jey away and Jimmy pulls Orton off the apron. Jey with a neck breaker and we go to commercial.
We are back and Riddle with knees and a kick to Jey. Both men are down. Woods tags in and Kofi with a double stomp. Wodos gets a near fall. Woods with a suplex for a near fall. Woods with a rear chin lock and a back elbow. Woods gets a two count. Woods with a chop but Riddle chops back. They go back and forth. Woods with a kick to the knee and Kofi tags in. Riddle with a kick to Woods and Kofi. Riddle with a Pele Kick. Orton and Jey tag in and Orton with clotheslines and then ducks a clothesline and hits a power slam. Orton gives Jimmy a power slam. Jey goes to the floor to avoid an IEDDT. Orton sends Jey into the announce table.
Woods misses a drop kick through the ropes and Orton with a back drop driver to Woods on the announce table and then Kofi gets one. Jey with a punch and Orton with an IEDDT. Orton twists to the mat to prepare for the RKO but jey wit a rollup for a near fall. Jey with a super kick and Orton goes down. Jey goes up top. Jey misses a splash and Jey rolls through. Orton with an RKO to Jimmy and Jey with a super kick. Woods makes the tag and he hits a super kick on Jey. Woods with a back breaker and Kofi with a double stomp for the three count.
