Orange Cassidy Knocked Out, Audible Called – We noted earlier how the Number One Contender Match between PAC and Orange Cassidy ended in a double count-out on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. It was clear that something was off with the finish of the bout and it’s because the finish was indeed changed.
As seen in the video below, a stiff kick from PAC to the head may have rocked Cassidy. The sunset powerbomb to the floor may have also been the reason. Cassidy apparently wanted to get up and finish the match, but an audible was called 13 minutes in to not only stop the match, but also keep Cassidy in the PPV title match.
As noted, AEW President Tony Khan told Tony Schiavone to announce both PAC and Cassidy will face Omega for the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing on May 30.
