AEW Fyter Fest Night 2 Results - July 8, 2020
No warming up in the bull pen tonight as we go straight to the ring for our fist match.

AEW World Tag Team Championships
Private Party vs. “Hangman” Adam Page & “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega

Marq Quen and Kenny Omega start things off. After locking up, Quen does a headstand and catches Omega with a Headscissors Takeover. Quen takes Omega down with a Drop Toehold and then attempts a Standing Moonsault, but Omega gets his knees up. Omega puts the boots to Quen and tags Page.

Page and Omega take turns lighting Quen up with chops and then Page deadlifts Quen up into the air into a Bridging Fall Away Slam for a nearfall. Page tags Omega and holds Quen so Omega can put the boots to him again. Omega and Page whip Quen into the ropes and then kick him together. Omega goes for the Leg Lariat but Quen does a handstand to block it and dropkicks both Page and Omega.

Kassidy tags in and Private Party whip Omega into the roeps and eventually connect with Silly String. Quen dives onto Page on the floor but Page catches him and Powerbombs him into the crowd! Kassidy hits a Sliding Dropkick to Page sending him into the crowd! Kassidy then hits a beautiful Springboard Somersault Plancha onto Page and a bunch of guys at ringside.

Back in the ring, Kassidy goes for a Swanton Bomb but Omega gets his boots up and levels him with a Snap Dragon. Quen comes in and Omega goes for another Snap Dragon but eats a Pele Kick from Quen. Page runs and levels Quen with a Cowboy Kick. Page hits a Roaring Elbow on Quen and then an Assisted German Suplex.

Kassidy avoids a charging Omega and then Private Party catches him with a Spanish Fly off the mat for a nearfall. Kassidy and Omega exchange strikes in the middle of the ring with Kassidy actually getting the better of Omega. Kassidy hits a Sling Blade for a nearfall.

Quen tags in and Kassidy hits a Spinning Enziguri on Omega. Omega comes back with a Rolling Fireman’s Carry on Kassidy and then a Monkey Flip on Quen onto Kassidy. Page blind tags Omega and Powerbombs Quen on top of Kassidy for a nearfall!

Page attempts a Fall Away Slam on Quen but he blocks it and Private Party hits a series of strikes. Kassidy hits a Golden Moonsault off the turnbuckles onto Omega on the floor. Quen goes for a 450 Splash but Page moves out of the way. Page goes for the Buckshot Lariat but Kassidy blocks him and counters into a Spinning STO on Page onto the ramp!

Kassidy rolls Page back in the ring and Quen hits a Shooting Star Press off the top! 1…2…NO Omega breaks it up at literally the last split second. Private Party set up for the Gin and Juice but Omega catches Kassidy with the V-Trigger and Page Super Bombs Quen off the top! Page and Omega hit Kassidy with the Last Call for the pin!

Winners & STILL Tag Champs: Omega & Page

After the match we shoot to an on-camera look at the announce trio of Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and The Excalibur, who proceed to run down each match scheduled for tonight's AEW FYTER FEST Night 2 special event. From there, we head to a commercial break.

Lance Archer vs. Joey Janela

Archer immediately goes to work on Janela, as the action spills out to the floor and "The Murderhawk Monster" floors Janela with a brutal knife-edge chop. He rolls him back in the ring but before he can re-join him, Janela knocks him off the apron. He then goes to the top and hits a diving back-elbow on Archer on the floor.

He goes under the ring and pulls out a table as highlights of his top-rope spot are shown. He sets up the table as he blasts sledgehammer shots on the back of Archer. Now he grabs a chair and heads to the top rope. Referee Paul Turner grabs the chair and struggles to pull it out of Janela's hands. As he does, Archer has recovered and he blasts Janela off the top rope into the ring from the apron.

Archer then goes to work on Janela. He knocks him down to the mat with authority before blasting him in the back of the neck with a clubbing blow. We see Jake Roberts with a big canvas bag, presumably containing a large reptile, is shown moving around in the background as "The Murderhawk Monster" continues his assault on "The Bad Boy."

Lance shouts some trash talk at Sonny Kiss, who is back on his feet at ringside, as a massive bear claw drops Janela. Archer continues to go to work on Janela as J.R. leads us into a mid-match commercial break.

Archer hits a Release Vertcial Suplex on Janela. During the break Archer attacked Kiss again and threw Janela into a barricade. Kiss distracts Archer allowing Janela to hit a series of strikes. Janela hits a Roaring Elbow but Archer shrugs off a series of clotheslines. Archer clotheslines Janela over the top but Janela lands on the apron and flips over Archer.

Janela dives at Archer but he catches him and counters into a Blackout attempt only for Janela to counter into a Reverse DDT for a nearfall. Janela hits a Superkick and then a Pump Knee Strike. Roberts threatens to let his snake out of the back as Janela hits a Backsplash Senton off the top. Kiss then hits the 450 Splash as the referee was dealing with Roberts! 1…2…NO Archer kicks out!

Janela goes back up top but Archer cuts him off and hits a Blackout off the apron and through the table that Janela set up at ringside earlier. Back in the ring, Archer pins the lifeless Janela.

Winner: Lance Archer

Another Darby Allin vignette airs. He warns Brian Cage not to forget about him and then he does a Coffin Drop off a 20-foot scaffold onto a bunch of foam pieces at an action theme park.

Tony Schiavone brings Brian Cage and Taz out to the ring for an interview. Taz has a “huge announcement” to break here. Taz is holding a black bag and he says this will be an iconic moment that everyone will remember. Taz says Moxley was supposed to defend his title tonight against Cage but instead that will happen next week. Taz says that what he is holding is something he created decades ago and is the embodiment of his “full body of work.”

Taz pulls out the old ECW FTW Championship. Taz says that no wrestling organization has ever recognized this belt but the fans have because the man that holds that belt is the “baddest son of a bitch walking the earth” and that title will no longer be uncrowned. He says that Cage will go into next week as the FTW World Championship. “What you are seeing right here is some renegade shit,” Taz says as he points to Cage. “Hey Mox, your ass is done, buddy.”

Atomicos Match
The Butcher & The Blade and The Lucha Brothers vs. FTR & The Young Bucks

Lucha Brothers, Butcher and Blade come out to the ring in FTR’s stolen truck. Pentagon and Nick Jackson start the match off against each other. Pentagon throws his glove at Dax on the apron and dares him to get in the ring with him. He obliges and tags Nick. They lockup and Dax gets Pentagon in a Hammerlock. Pentagon slaps Dax in the face but Dax answers with a series of forearms.

Dax and Pentagon exchange chops and then Dax runs him over with a Running Back Elbow. Cash tags in and hits a Snapmare Takeover on Pentagon before tagging Dax right back in. He puts the boots to Pentagon’s arm as Cash holds him down. Dax whips Pentagon into the corner but Pentagon floats up and over him and then chops the ever loving shit out of Dax.

Fenix tags Pentagon and then Pentagon kills Dax with a spinning kick followed by a series of kicks form Fenix. Pentagon hits a Ghetto Stomp off the top and Fenix hits a Diving Kick off the top for a nearfall. Fenix lights Dax up with some chops and tries to slide under Dax’s legs but Dax catches him and then decapitates him with a Lariat.

Cash tags in and Dax lifts Fenix up into an Assisted Powerslam from Cash for a nearfall. Matt Jackson blind tags himself in and then holds Fenix so Cash could hit him. Matt tosse Fenix into the ropes but he Tiger Feints through the rope and tags Blade. Blade comes charging in only to eat an Armdrag from Matt. Nick blind tags his brother and the Bucks hit a series of big moves and then a Double Dropkick for Fenix and one for Butcher.

Nick misses a kick and eats a Pump Kick from Blade and then an Assisted Gutbuster from Butcher followed by a Doctor Bomb for a nearfall. Pentagon tags in hits a Springboard Diving Headbutt and then holds Nick as Fenix kicks him in the head and then tosses him into a Black Hole Slam from Butcher for a nearfall.

Fenix tags back in and lifts Jackson up to the top rope and then Fenix springs up with him only to eat a Superrana from Nick off the top for a nearfall in an insane spot! Nick and Cash hit some nice double team moves with a Superkick/Dragon Suplex combo but all four men come in and a big brawl breaks out.

Blade is wearing Cash down with a headlock as we come back from a break. Cash fights out of it and backdrops Blade. Both men tag out as Matt and Fenix tag in. Matt hits a Flying Cross Body onto the Lucha Brothers and then a Double Flying Clothesline. Matt hits a Sliced Bread on Pentagon and then a Scoop Slam on Fenix. Matt goes up top but dives onto Butcher and Blade with a Plancha instead of diving onto Fenix!

Matt goes back up top and hits a Flying Elbow Drop for a nearfall. Matt tosses Fenix through the ropes but Fenix Tiger Feints back in and kicks the hell out of Matt! Blade tags in and hits an Atomic Drop on Matt but Dax blind tagged him. Dax comes in and Evenflows Blade! Butcher comes in and eats a Superkick Party from Dax and Matt. Fenix hits a Double Missile Dropkick onto them and then sets up for a dive but eats a Goodnight Express from Cash and Nick!

FTR sets up for the Mindbreaker but Butcher pulls Cash off the apron. Nick and Dax hit a Meltzer Spike Piledriver but Pentagon pulls Dax to the floor. Dax tosses Pentagon into the ring post and then climbs back in and lifts Blade up to the top rope.

FTR and Bucks take turns tagging each other and then all four go top and hit a crazy Double Superplex, Diving Splash, Frog Splash combo for a nearfall. Fenix broke it up with a Splash of his own. Pentagon and Matt finally break down and are the legal men. They exchange strikes but then Bucks set up for a Meltzer Driver only for Fenix to walk the ropes and kick Matt in the face! Pentagon eats a Forearm Smash from Nick but Pentagon comes back with a kick.

Fenix hits a Springboard Mexican Destroyer on Matt off the back of his brother onto everyone else on the floor, WHAT THE HELL?! Nick goes for a Superkick on Pentagon but he moves and Nick hits Dax. Pentagon and Fenix hit the LB Driver for the pin!

Winners: Butcher, Blade & Lucha Brothers

Big Swole is shown being blocked from entering the building and she is served papers. She is suspended for her “behavior.” Schiavone says that Britt Baker petitioned AEW to suspend Swole for kidnapping her.

Handicap Match
Nyla Rose vs. Kenzie Paige & KiLynn King

Paige and King argue over who is going to start the match. Rose kicks Paige and then hits her with a Leg Drop before tossing her into the turnbuckle. Rose hits a series of shoulder blocks before tossing her clear across the ring. King tags in and jumps on Rose’s back only for Rose to back her into the turnbuckles. Paige charges in but Rose moves and she hits King.

Rose hits a German Suplex on Paige and then Spears King into the stratosphere. Rose lifts Paige up and tosses her into Lynn before Fall Away Slamming her into King. Rose then Beast Bombs Paige on top of King and pins them both.

Winner: Nyla Rose

Rose says she believes actions speak louder than words and her actions tonight spoke for themselves. Rose says she sees all these great wrestlers with managers in AEW, so she has taken it upon herself to hire her own manager. Rose says she is not ready to tell anyone who it is but says that her manager will make sure that she regains her title very soon.

Backstage, earlier today Colt Cabana is shown in the trainer’s room with a gigantic bruise on his sternum. Lee walks up and says that he has no idea who caused that injury but The Dark Order will make sure that things like this never happen to him again. Lee tells Cabana that they have a match to get ready for and Cabana says “yes, Mr. Brodie” and walks away.

The Dark Order & Colt Cabana vs. SCU

Grayson and Daniels start things off with some nice chain wrestling. All of the other members of The Dark Order are watching on the stage. Grayson hits Daniels with a dropkick as he comes off the ropes. Daniels comes back with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker before tagging Kaz into the match. Daniels and Kaz show off some of their old Bad Influence offense.

Kazarian Drop Toe Holds Grayson into the ropes and Sky kicks him right into a German Suplex from Kaz for a nearfall. Kaz tags Sky and they whip Grayson into the ropes before running him over. Sky goes for a Suplex but Grayson blocks it and hits a Pele Kick before tagging Cabana.

Cabana drops under a charging Sky but Sky comes back with a Waistlock and Cabana sells it like he’s being tortured. Lee tells Cabana to suck it up and Grayson kicks Sky in the back. The other Dark Order members comes to the ring but Kaz dives over the top onto them as Lee hits Sky with a Dragon Suplex in the ring.

Cabana and Grayson whip Sky into the corner and Grayson charges at Sky only to get backdropped to the floor. Sky hits Cabana with a Hanging Neckbreaker. Lee tags Cabana and Sky tags Kazarian. Kaz hits a series of strikes capped off with a Shotgun Dropkick and then a Springboard Swinging DDT for a one-count.

Lee kicks Kaz in the gut after Grayson distracts him and then Lee goes for a Fall Away Slam but Daniels hits a Missile Dropkick off the top for a nearfall. Daniels tags in but all of SCU eats series of kicks from Lee. Lee misses a punch and Sky dropkicks him. Grayson comes in and hits a TKO on Sky but Kaz hits Grayson with a Slingshot Cutter. Lee hits a Black Hole Slam on Kaz but Daniels shoves him to the floor and then hits a Tope Suicida!

Back in the ring, Daniels Sunset Flips Grayson and then hits an STO followed by a Diving Moonsault for a nearfall. Cabana broke up the pin attempt and Daniels slaps him in the face. Lee destroys Daniels with a Lariat and then he tells Grayson to tag Cabana, who gets the pin.

Winner: The Dark Order & Colt Cabana

Cabana keeps trying to celebrate the win but Lee keeps telling him to stop.

Big Swole wearing a face mask busts in and tries to get to Britt Baker and she balls up the suspension and throws it at Baker. Baker sells it like she was just shot.

After the match, we shoot to ringside where the announce trio runs down some of the action on tap for next week's special AEW Fight For The Fallen event, where All Elite Wrestling will look to raise money for victims of the COVID-19 pandemic. The show will feature the AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. FTW Champion Brian Cage main event.

Before we head to another commercial break, we see Dr. Britt Baker confronted by someone at ringside. Finally the cameras catch up with the action, which we hear the announcers reference, as we see it is Big Swole. Swole, who apparently found a way to enter the building despite being banned, served legal papers and spotted arriving and leaving in a huff just minutes ago, and make it all the way through the extra COVID-19 security into the live amphitheater venue where the taping is taking (took) place, gets in Baker's face, which she ultimately smashes as Baker screams in agony like a psycho as we finally head to break.

Orange Cassidy vs. "Le Champion" Chris Jericho

Cassidy is still wearing the T-shirt that has blood stains on it from the attack from the Inner Circle. OC immediately headbutts Jericho at the bell and then dropkicks him sending Jericho to the floor! OC hits a Tope Suicida onto Jericho on the floor and lays into him with a series of big Forearm Smashes. OC whips Jericho into the barricade, as well.

Back in the ring, OC goes to the top and hits a Flying Cross Body followed by a Satellite DDT attempt but Jericho blocks it and catches OC in the Walls of Jericho! OC fights the hold and gets to the ropes much to Jericho’s dismay. As Jericho argues with the referee, Ortiz hits OC in the back with the slapjack.

Jericho puts the boots to OC and then connects with a Backbreaker. Jericho whips OC hard into the turnbuckles and then tries it again but this time OC flips over the top and then catches Jericho with a rollup for a nearfall. OC follows up with an Inside Cradle for another nearfall and then a beautiful Armdrag into another nearfall.

Jericho dives at OC in the corner but he moves and then goes for the Superman Forearm but Jericho ducks and OC crashes to the floor. Jericho hits a Sliding Dropkick sending OC into the barricade.


Jericho puts OC in an Abdominal Stretch and uses the top rope for extra leverage but the referee catches him. OC Hip Tosses Jericho after the referee knocked his arm off the top rope. Jericho and OC exchange forearms and then Jericho sends him over the top. OC holds on to the top rope but Jericho knocks him off sending OC into the barricade.

Jericho tosses OC back in the ring and taunts him as he gets a nearfall. Jericho starts slapping OC which seems to fire him up and OC hits a series of big strikes backing Jericho into the corner. OC hits a Running Forearm Smash and then hits a Diving Rana off the middle rope. OC does his lazy kicks but then Superkicks the hell out of Jericho for a nearfall.

OC goes to the top but Jericho cuts him off and climbs up with OC. Jericho attempts a Superplex but OC shoves him off and then hits a Diving Splash! 1…2…NO Jericho kicks out! OC charges at Jericho but he backdrops OC to the apron. Jericho then goes for the Springboard Shoulder Block but OC ducks causing Jericho to crash and burn. OC then hits an Asai Moonsault onto PNP and Jericho!

Back in the ring, OC hits a Diving DDT off the top! 1…2…NO Jericho kicks out! Cassidy pulls his elbow sleeve off and then goes for the Superman Forearm but Jericho catches him again and locks in the Walls. OC fights to the ropes again but this time Jericho pulls him back and sits down on the hold. OC manages to fight it and roll through Jericho’s legs and roll him up for a nearfall.

OC hits the Superman Forearm! PNP throws orange juice in OC’s face and Best Friends run out and brawl with PNP! Jericho hits OC with the bat as the referee was distracted and then connects with the Codebreaker. 1…2…NO and Jericho still kicks out! Jericho cannot believe that OC kicked out. OC fights back with strikes but runs into an elbow.

Jericho goes for the Lionsault but OC moves out of the way and then hits a Michinoku Driver for a nearfall. Jericho had some Juventud Guerrera flashbacks on that one. Jericho and OC exchange strikes again until Jericho goes for a Suplex only for OC to counter him into the Slumdog Millionaire followed by the Satellite DDT! 1…2…NO Jericho kicks out!

OC goes for the Superman Forearm but eats the Judas Effect for the pin.

Winner: Chris Jericho
