It was reported that MVP recently transitioned from working behind-the-scenes into being a full-time wrestler for the company.
With a post on his instagram account, apparently MVP dismisses the news. “Please do not believe what the dirt sheets tell you about me. If you don’t hear it from me, it’s not true,” worte MVP.
When he first returned to WWE earlier this year after making an appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, he signed with the company as a producer, which is something that he confirmed in an interview with Lillian Garcia.
Before the reported change, he had been working as a producer and wrestled when WWE needed him to do so. Per the report, there was no word on why WWE made the decision.
Whether it’s true that he’s still working as a producer or just a full-time wrestler as reported, what is known is his current role on WWE television.
WWE paired him up with Bobby Lashley as the former WWE United States Champion serves as his manager. Lashley is slated to challenge WWE Champion Drew McIntyre for the title at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view event.
