Scrapped Plans For Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 36 Revealed

Scrapped Plans For Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 36 Revealed
We noted back in April that Hulk Hogan was scheduled to appear at WrestleMania 36 but back then something went wrong.

The Hulkster was already going to be in town because of nWo induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame, but the two sides could not agree on financial term for a deal.

A WWE source revealed that there was a pitch made to have Hogan appear in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and to have him win the match. The talks with Hogan fell through and even if a deal had been reached, the battle royal plans ended up being scrapped because of the coronavirus.

“The idea was he wouldn’t take any bumps. We would work it so he would only have to eliminate one or two guys at the end and then he would get his big celebration at the end with his music. It would have been perfect because he lives in the Tampa area.”

The idea was pitched to Vince McMahon and he did not shoot it down and the idea was still on the table as of late February. Again, the source told me that even if Hulk Hogan agreed to this, the plans would have been scrapped once the company realized that they had to pull the battle royal from the show.
