WWE RAW Results (4/06) - Orlando, FL

RAW opens up with a look back at Drew McIntyre’s WWE Title win over Brock Lesnar from the main event of Night Two. We cut to the RAW opening video.

– We’re live on tape from the empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida as Tom Phillips welcomes us. He’s joined by Byron Saxton.

Asuka vs. Liv Morgan

We go right to the ring and out comes Asuka as Mike Rome does the introductions. There will be a WrestleMania rematch tonight as The Street Profits defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against Austin Theory and Angel Garza again. Tom talks about how Asuka and Kairi Sane lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross this weekend. Liv Morgan is out next.

Asuka has something to say to Liv before locking up. Asuka backs Liv into the corner and she gives a clean break. Liv goes for a rollup but Asuka blocks it and she kicks Liv. Liv with forearms but Asuka with a hip attack. Liv with a matrix to avoid a round kick and Liv with a rollup for a near fall. Liv with a kick and a head scissors take down. Liv charges into the corner but Asuka sends Liv into the turnbuckles. Liv goes to the turnbuckles and hits a missile drop kick. Liv goes to the floor and Asuka sends Liv into the apron. Liv with a head scissors off the apron but Asuka with a super kick on the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Asuka kicks the arm and applies an arm bar. Liv with forearms and Asuka sends Liv to the mat. Liv with a boot to Asuka and Liv floats over but Asuka with a pop up knee for a near fall. Asuka kicks Liv in the head but Liv avoids a kick and gets a near fall with a bridge for a near fall. Liv with a springboard codebreaker and both women are down. Liv with clothesline and a spinning face plant. Liv with an enzuigiri and Asuka goes into the corner. Liv with a springboard double stomp to the back for a near fall.

Asuka locks in the cross arm breaker but Liv with a rollup for a near fall. Asuka blocks a kick and she hits a German suplex. Asuka with a sliding kick for a near fall when Liv gets her foot on the bottom rope. Liv misses a splash into the ropes and Asuka with the Asuka lock and Liv floats over but Asuka is not Shayna and she kicks out. Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock but Liv rolls through. Asuka is able to apply the Asuka Lock and body scissors and she gets Liv to tap out.

Winner: Asuka

– We take a look back at the Raw Women’s Championship Match from Saturday night between Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler.

– We go to Charly Caruso interviewing Becky after her WrestleMania match. Becky says she is a day short of a year as champ. Charly says that some thought Becky’s escape and pin was her last gasp move. Becky says she was looking for a counter to anything. Becky says she did not underestimate Shayna, Shayna might have underestimated her. Shayna’s skill set might be unmatched in WWE, but the fight was a test of skill and heart. Becky is asked what is next. Becky says Shayna thinks she has her number. Becky tells Shayna if she is not done with her, Shayna knows where she is.

– Shayna is somewhere and says the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. She says the thrill of victory and she promises Becky the agony of her defeat. We go to commercial.

– We are back and we see highlights of the Raw Tag Title Match and the appearance of Bianca Belair after the match.

RAW Tag Team Championships
The Street Profits vs. Austin Theory and Angel Garza

We go back to the ring and out come the RAW Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. No sign of Bianca Belair. Angel Garza and Austin Theory are out next with Zelina Vega.

Garza and Dawkins start things off and Garza decides to tag in Theory. Dawkins with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Dawkins with another shoulder tackle after hurdling Theory. Ford tags in and Ford with a drop kick. They hit a double flapjack to Garza onto Theory followed by stereo drop kicks.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Dawkins with an arm bar on Theory. Theory with punches but Dawkins with an Irish whip but he misses the spinning splash into the corner. Theory drops Dawkins on the top rope and then hits a rolling drop kick. Garza tags in and he kicks Dawkins and appliea an arm bar. Garza with a knee to the upper chest and Theory tags in. Theory with a forearm. Theory with a boot to Dawkins. Garza tags in and he hits a splash to the leg. Garza works on the leg. Theory tags i and Theory kicks Dawkins. Theory with a forearm. Theory stands over Dawkins and then kicks him in the chest. Theory with a kick to the ribs.

Theory with an arm bar and chin lock. Dawkins blocks a super kick and hits an exploder. Garza tags in and so does Ford. Ford with a springboard cross body followed by clotheslines. Ford with a drop kick and DDT. Ford goes up top and Theory distracts the referee. Vega grabs Ford;s leg and the referee sees it and calls for the bell.

Winners via DQ: The Street Profits

After the match, Garza and Theory hold Ford for Vega and Vega kicks Ford. Bianca Belair’s music plays and she does her full entrance before coming to the ring and Belair sends Vega to the mat. Bianca takes the mic and she says Zelina really thinks she is doing something, but now she is here. She says she is the strongEST and the greatEST, but now she is the fastEST. She tells Zelina to come into the ring.

We go to commercial.

Bianca Belair vs. Zelina Vega

They each have words for each other before locking up and Belair sends Vega to the mat. Belair sends Vega to the mat again. Vega backs into the ropes to avoid Belair. Vega with a side head lock and Belair tries to power out of the hold and she hits a shoulder tackle. Belair with a shoulder tackle and she gestures to Vega. Vega with a slap and Belair grabs Vega’s hair and Belair with forearms to Vega. Belair throws Vega across the ring using the hair and she does it again. Belair with a shoulder into the corner. Vega goes for a rollup but Belair does not go down. Vega moves and Belair goes shoulder first into the ring post.

Vega with a choke in the ropes. Vega with a rollup for a near fall. Vega with a boot to the back followed by a DDT for a near fall. Vega with a dragon clutch but Belair gets back to her feet and she grabs Vega and hits a suplex while Ford freaks out at ringside. Vega with a kick and she goes to the turnbuckles. Belair catches Vega and presses her over hear head and then drops Vega to the mat. Theory gets on the apron to distract Belair and Ford pulls Theory off the apron. Ford takes Theory down in the ring and the referee calls for the bell.

No Contest

Montez Ford takes the mic and he says we are one day removed from Wrestlemania 36. His brother is here, his wife is here, so why not make this a family affair and make it three versus three. Ford says they want the smoke.

We go to commercial.

Zelina Vega, Austin Theory, and Angel Garza vs. The Street Profits and Bianca Belair

Dawkins and Theory start things off and Dawkins with a face plant. Ford tags in and hits a drop kick. Ford floats over on an Irish whip and Ford with another drop kick. Theory with a forearm to the back and Ford goes to the floor. Theory sends Ford into the ringside barrier. Theory with a kick to the ribs. Theory with a chop and kicks in the corner. Garza chokes Ford while Theory distracts the referee. Theory with a snap mare followed by an arm bar and chin lock. Ford with punches and Theory blocks a clothesline and hits a clothesline of his own for a near fall. Theory with a front face lock.

Theory sends Ford into the apron and then Ford with a sleeper and he lays on top of Ford to add more pressure. Ford with an arm drag and Theory knocks Dawkins off the apron. Ford with an enzuigiri and both men are down. Belair tags in and so does Vega. Vega with a kick and Belair blocks a head scissors take down and hits a series of back breakers. Belair knocks Theory off the apron and then hits a handspring moonsault. Theory with a super kick to Ford and Dawkins with a shoulder tackle to Garza.

Belair with a butterfly gourdbuster into the turnbuckles followed by the KOD for the three count.

Winners: The Street Profits and Bianca Belair

– We take a look back at the Irreconcilable Finishers that led to Aleister Black defeating Bobby Lashley last night at Wrestlemania. We go to Charly Caruso with Bobby Lashley after the match. Bobby says he feels that he needs new management or a new wife. Lana shows up oblvious to everything and Bobby walks away. Lana wants to know what did Charly do to her husband.

We go to commercial.

Aleister Black vs. Apollo Crews

They lock up and Black with a side head lock. Crews with a reversal. Black with a top wrist lock and he gets a near fall. Black with a front face lock. Crews with a wrist lock into a side head lock. Black with an arm bar and hammer lock take down for a near fall. Black with a wrist lock and Crews with a reversal into a hammer lock. Black with a fireman’s carry into a reverse chin lock. Crews with a front face lock and he takes Black to the mat. Black with a wrist lock into a front face lock. Crews with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Crews flips over Black and Black does the same to Crews and Black sits down in the center of the ring. Crews goes to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Black with an arm drag into an arm bar. Crews goes for a slam but Black gets to his feet. Black escapes a press slam attempt and Black with another arm bar. Crews with forearms and punches. Black with a kick and he runs into a drop kick. Black goes to the floor. Crews goes to the floor and Black with kicks but he is sent into the ringside barrier with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Black with a kick but Crews with forearms. Black with a kick to the ankle followed by a running kick to the chest for a near fall. Crews sends Black over the top rope and Black lands face first on the apron before going to the floor. Crews kicks Black and the referee warns him.

Crews kicks Black from the apron and Crews with a moonsault off the apron as we go to commercial.

We are back and Crews gets a near fall. Crews with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Crews with a reverse chin lock. Crews with a kick and forearm. Black with an kick and an ankle pick into a take down. Black with kicks to the leg. Black charges at Crews and Crews with a powr slam for a near fall. Crews goes for the standing moonsault but Black with a shot to the leg. Crews with a snap mare and enzuigiri. Crews with the toss power bomb for a near fall.

Black with a kick and Crews with a clothesline. Crews goes up top and misses a frog splash when Black moves. Black with a take dow into a knee bar and Crews tries to get to the ropes. Cres is able to roll to the ropes to force Black to release the hold. Crews’ knee gives out when he tries to get up. Black waits for Crews to get up but Crews collapses to the mat. Black picks up Crews but Black misses Black Mass. Crews with a kick and then he avoids another kick and Crews with an enzuigiri to send Black to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Crews sets for a superplex but Black sends Crews to the mat. Black leaps off the turnbuckles and takes Crews down and hits a sliding kick and quebrada for a near fall. Crews kicks Black and Black with a kick for a near fall. Crews with a drop kick. Crews backs Black into the corner and Black kicks Crews in the knee. Crews with a round kick to stop Black on the turnbuckles. Crews goes for a superplex and he hits it. Crews gets a near fall. Black with forearms but Crews with a sit out power bomb for a near fall.

Crews picks up Black and he presses him over his head and drops him behind. Crews with a standing moonsault and a shooting star press for a near fall. Crews goes up top and Black with a boot to stop Crews. Black goes for a superplex but Crews sends Black face first into the mat. Crews comes off the turnbuckles and Black with a kick. Black picks up Crews for Black Mass but Crews counters and Black with a sunset flip for a near fall. Black with Black Mass for the three count.

Winner: Aleister Black

– We take a look back at the Last Man Standing Match Between Edge and Randy Orton from Sunday night.

– Still to come, Cedric Alexander and Ricochet will be in action. Also, a look back at the Boneyard Match. Back to commercial.

Cedric Alexander and Ricochet vs. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan

Burch and Alexander start things off and Alexander with punches but Burch with punches. Lorcan tags in and they both chop Alexander. Lorcan gets a near fall. Lorcan with European uppercuts and Burch tags in and he connects with forearms but Alexander with a few punches and chops. Burch with a chop and he gets a near fall. Burch with a reverse chin lock and Alexander backs Burch into the corner and Alexander with an arm drag. Burch with a reverse chin lock.

Alexander with a drop kick to the knees. Lorcan and Ricochet tag in and Ricochet with clotheslines and kicks. Lorcan with a boot but Ricochet with a kick and jumping rana for a near fall. Burch kicks Alexander to the floor. Ricochet sends Burch to the floor and hits a springboard drop kick. Ricochet lands on his feet on a half and half suplex attempt. Alexander with a reverse atomic drop and Ricochet with an enzuigiri. Alexander sends Lorcan to the mat and Ricochet with shooting star press. Ricochet tags in.and Alexander with a Neuralizer followed by a suicide dive onto Burch. Ricochet with Recoil to Lorcan for the three count.

Winners: Ricochet and Cedric Alexander

– We are back with a look at the match between Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens from WrestleMania 36 Night One.

Backstage:

Kevin Owens says for the past five months, his career has been hell. For five months he wanted to get Seth Rollins in the ring one-on-one, but he was attacked by two, three, or four men. He was so broken down that he had to ask was it worth it. When he jumped off that sign and then hit the stunner for the three count, he got his answer. Yes, it was all worth it to have a Wrestlemania moment he can be proud of. He called himself a prize fighter so it is time to go after that. Maybe there are more people who deserve a stunner or two. The mentality remains the same. He will stay here and he will contine to fight because this is the Kevin Owens Show.

Seth Rollins vs. Denzel Dejournette

The Monday Night Messiah  makes his way to the ring but he does not have the normal pep in his step.

Rollins with a clothesline followed by kicks and he chokes Denzel in the corner. Denzel goes to the floor and Rollins follows. Rollins sends Denzel into the ringside barrier. Rollins sends him into the ringside barrier again. Rollins with Black Out for the three count.

Winner: Seth Rollins

– Still to come, Nia Jax makes her return to RAW. Back to commercial.

Nia Jax vs. Deonna Purrazzo

Back from the break and out comes Nia Jax making her return. She has been away since April 2019 after undergoing double knee surgery. Jax marches to the ring and waits for her opponent. Out next comes NXT Superstar Deonna Purrazzo.

The bell rings and Jax goes right to work, sending Purrazzo back into the corner. Jax screams for her to fight. Jax with a big clothesline. Jax manhandles Purrazzo some and talks trash as the referee warns her. Jax picks Purrazzo up and slaps her around some, then nails a short-arm clothesline. Jax dominates and nails another big clothesline.

Jax scoops Purrazzo for a Samoan Drop in the middle of the ring. Jax scoops Purrazzo again and drops her with a DDT for the pin to win.

Winner: Nia Jax

– After the match, Jax stands tall and has her arm raised as the music hits. We go to replays. Jax stands over Purrazzo and talks some trash as the referee checks on her.

– We take a look back at the Boneyard Match. Back to commercial.

Humberto Carrillo vs. Brendan Vink

Back from the break and out comes Humberto Carrillo as NXT’s Brendan Vink waits in the ring.

The bell rings and they go at it. Vink overpowers Carrillo. Carrillo with a jawbreaker. Carrillo fights Vink off again and kicks him in the face. Carrillo with a missile dropkick from the top. Vink turns it around with a huge boot to the face. Vink comes back in and slams Carrillo for a close 2 count.

Vink keeps Carrillo grounded now. Carrillo fights up and out but Vink drops him with a big elbow to the face. Vink works Carrillo over in the corner and launches him across the ring. Vink grounds Carrillo again in the middle of the ring. Carrillo keeps fighting Vink off out of the corner. Carrillo with a crossbody for a 2 count.

Carrillo with more kicks. Carrillo drops Vink with a kick. Carrillo rolls into a moonsault. Carrillo goes back to the top and hits another big moonsault for the pin to win.

Winner: Humberto Carrillo

– We are back with a look back at the NXT Women’s Championship Match from Sunday.

– We go to comments from Charlotte Flair with Charly Caruso from last night. Charlotte says she does not need people to congratulate her. Her dad had custom cars and custon suits. People said it was the suit that made the man, but he said it was the man who made the suit. She has been a Raw Women’s Champion and the Smackdown Women’s Champion. She retired the Divas Title. She is a two time NXT Women’s Champion. Rhea Ripley was good, but she did just like everyone else and bowed down to the queen.

– We get a look back at the main event of WrestleMania 36 Night Two, which saw Drew McIntyre capture the WWE Title from Brock Lesnar. Still to come, the exclusive aftermath of Drew’s big win. Back to commercial.

In The Arena (last night):

Drew McIntyre came back onto the stage and makes his way to the ring wearing the title belt.

Drew is congratulated on his victory and if he has felt what just happened. Drew says it has been about twenty minutes. He hasn’t had a chance to talk to his family. He does not feel it is real, but he took the time to put the plates on the belt so he knows it is real and he is not dreaming. Drew thanks Paul Heyman. He says during the match, he was mentally, physically, and emotionally ready. He saw a look in Brock’s eyes he never saw before. Brock was ready for war. Paul Heyman told Brock to keep giving Drew the F-5 because Drew wasn’t going to get back up.

Drew says his life flashed before his eyes and he remembered every time he fought back after being knocked down in his personal and professional career. Every time Brock hit an F-5, he stopped getting hurt, he got angry. No surrender. He thought about climbing to the top of that mountain, inch by inch. He was going to Claymore Brock as many times that he needed to win. Drew says he is the new champion.

Big Show’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring with a referee and a mic.

Big Show says look at that, you did it. You slayed the beast and conquered the conqueror to become the WWE Champion. Now there is an entire locker room of truly talented competitors looking for you. You might be a big man, but you are no giant.

Drew says he knows where this is going. Big Show says he doesn’t know s***. He is not challenging Drew for the title now or at Money in the Bank. Why not have a match now.

Drew says he just wrestled Brock Lesnar and that is why he is dressed to fight. Drew says he does not know why Show is dressed.

Show says that Drew is all talk. Show says he doesn’t see Drew angry. He is looking Drew dead in the eye and he sees fear.

Drew says this isn’t his first day. He isn’t afraid of Show and he knows that Show is trying to push his buttons. He is going to say it slowly so Show can understand. There is nothing you can say that will convince him to fight Show tonight.

Show slaps Drew in the face so Drew takes off his belt.

WWE Championship
Drew McIntyre vs. Big Show

The bell rings and this is for the title, supposedly taped right after Night Two of WrestleMania 36. Drew McIntyre unloads on Big Show into the corner.

Show fights back but Drew kicks him in the face. Drew charges but Show levels him to the mat. Show beats Drew around now, into the opposite corner. Show continues beating Drew around with big shots. Show with a scoop slam in the middle of the ring. Show talks trash while Drew is down.

Show stands on Drew’s back and bounces him on the bottom rope as the referee warns him. Show continues to manhandle Drew on the apron. Show scoops Drew again and slams him. Show with another big kick while Drew is down. Show keeps yelling at Drew. Drew fights back with strikes but Show delivers a big headbutt. Show keeps control and hits a big Vader Bomb from the corner but Drew kicks out at 2.

Show laughs and tells Drew to get up so he can make it hurt. Show with a big chop to the chest in the corner. Show with another big chop in the opposite corner. Drew is getting angrier. Show with another chop against the ropes, sending Drew down to the mat. Drew gets back up but Show delivers more big strikes to beat him down. Show with another scoop slam in the middle of the ring. Show continues yelling at Drew about the WWE Title. Show chokes Drew with the second rope now as the referee warns him.

Drew ducks the next big chop. Drew fights back now. Show goes for a chokeslam in the middle of the ring but Drew slides out. Drew scoops Show and slams him in the middle of the ring for a close pin attempt. Drew goes to the top now, waiting for Show to get up. Drew leaps but Show catches him in mid-air for a chokeslam. Drew kicks out just in time. Show can’t believe it.

Drew ducks the KO Punch by Show and comes right back with a big Claymore Kick in the middle of the ring. Drew covers for the pin to retain.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew takes the WWE Title belt and holds it as his music hits. Drew gets down in Show’s face and then has his arm raised in the middle of the ring. The post-WrestleMania 36 edition of RAW goes off the air.
