Charlotte Flair Wins The NXT Title at WrestleMania 36

Charlotte Flair Wins The NXT Title at WrestleMania 36
Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley to become the new champion in the opening match of WrestleMania 36 Night Two.

Early on, Flair controlled the match but Ripley quickly turned it around on The Queen. The champion hit the Riptide out of nowhere for a near fall. Ripley dumped Flair onto the floor and dove onto her outside the ring. The champion maintained the advantage and trash-talked Flair. The Queen capitalized on a mistake and targeted Ripley’s leg for a few minutes. Flair used the ring post to brutalize Ripley’s leg even more. A brutal chop block helped Flair keep control of the match. Ripley rallied and slammed Flair. The champion rocked Flair with some knees to the head.

Ripley hit an electric chair drop for a two count. Flair drilled Ripley with a nasty right hand but Ripley fired back with a stiff elbow. Flair viciously targeted Ripley’s leg again but Ripley locked her in a standing Cloverleaf. Flair escaped it and locked in a Boston Crab. Ripley hit Flair with a big boot for a two count. Flair Speared Ripley for another two count. Flair locked in the Figure-Four and bridged it into a Figure-Eight. Ripley tapped out, so Flair won the match and the NXT Women’s Championship.

This is the second reign with the title for Flair. Ripley won the title back on the December 18 NXT episode by defeating Shayna Baszler.
