As noted, Kris Statlander defeated the number one contender, Hikaru Shida, on last night’s AEW Dynamite.
After making a couple appearances on Dynamite and Dark, it was revealed Statlander has signed with AEW, according to Bleacher Report Senior Writer Jonathan Snowden.
As also noted, Brandi Rhodes and Awesome Kong came to the ring in an attempt to recruit Statlander to their group, Nightmare Collective. Statlander hesitated, but ultimately didn’t give her answer after a fan interrupted, wanting to become a pledge.
The fan was Chicago area wrestler, Melanie Cruise, who has also signed with AEW. Based on today’s tweet, Melanie is now an official member of The Nightmare Collective.

– During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite in Champaign, IL, Rose defeated Leva Bates in a singles match. After the match, Rose hit another beast bomb to Bates until Shanna made the save.
When the show cut to a commercial break, Rose powerbombed referee Rick Knox through a table before hitting another powerbomb to Shanna onto the referee.
As a result, AEW announced a storyline suspension to Rose for the year of the show. This storyline suspension marks the first of its kind for AEW as Jimmy Havoc was the first star to be fined while Jon Moxley was only reprimanded for his actions. You can see their tweet here:
