The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the next WWE show in Saudi Arabia is now back to its original date of November 1.
After the Saudi government initially wanted the show on a different day, WWE took steps to accommodate that by changing and cancelling a number of dates on their European tour later that month. They also re-arranged the TV schedule by holding a double Raw/Smackdown taping on the same Friday night a week later.
With the Saudi show now back to the same date, there is the issue of having a PPV on a Friday afternoon and then a few hours later a Smackdown Live show. There could still be a movement to have Smackdown be taped on Monday after Raw or on the empty Tuesday and yet another alternative is to air Smackdown on Friday but promote it as an all-women’s show. With there still being several months before all this plays out, it seems WWE isn’t even actively discussing their options yet.
