4/19 WWE SmackDown Results – We are live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA, as LA Knight makes hos way to the ring for our first match of the night.

Number One Contenders Match
LA Knight vs. AJ Styles

They have words for each other before any physicality.  They lock up and Knight backs Styles into the corner.  Knight with a clean break but AJ with a kick and side head lock.  Knight with a back elbow to the midsection and Knight with a side head lock.  AJ goes for the Phenomenal drop kick but Knight holds on to the ropes.  Knight with a series of kicks and he sends AJ to the floor.  Knight goes to the floor and he sends AJ’s head into the announce table while exchanging pleasantries with the announcers.  

Knight sends AJ back into the ring and AJ kicks Knight as Knight returns to the ring.  AJ sets for a power bomb but Knight with a back drop to send AJ to the floor.  Knight with a drop kick through the ropes and AJ hits the announce table.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Knight with punches.  AJ avoids a clothesline and so does Knight.  Both men with clotheslines at the same time and both go down.  We see footage of AJ hitting a sliding knee on the apron.  We are back to live action.  AJ and Knight exchange punches.  They continue to go back and forth.  AJ with kicks and a back fist.  Knight with a kick and punches.  Knight with kicks in the corner.  Knight with a running knee to AJ in the corner.  Knight puts AJ on the turnbuckles but AJ punches Knight away.  Knight leaps to the turnbuckles and hits a superplex for a near fall.  Knight with a front face lock but AJ escapes a suplex and Knight runs into a back elbow.  AJ with a moonsault into a reverse DDT for a near fall.  AJ sets for a Styles Clash but Knight blocks it and runs AJ into the corner.  Knight goes for a slam but AJ escapes and gets a near fall with a rollup.

AJ with a Pele Kick but Knight sends AJ to the apron.  AJ with a forearm and he sets for a springboard move but Knight moves and AJ lands on his feet.  Knight with a power slam and elbow drop.  Knight sets for the BFT and AJ escapes and goes to the apron.  AJ drops Knight on the top rope and AJ with a forearm.  AJ sets for the Phenomenal Forearm and AJ hits it for the three count.

Winner:  AJ Styles

– We take a look back at what happened last week with the Bloodline.

Backstage:

We see a vehicle arrive at the buildign and Solo Sikoa emerges in a sport coat.  Paul compliments Solo on his threads.  Solo tells Paul to say hello to the newest member of the Bloodline. Paul starts to talk and Solo asks if Kevin Owens is here. Paul says he thinks he is here. Solo tells Paul to take him to Kevin.

We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Nick Aldis is in the ring and he has a table with something under a cover. Nick introduces Paul Triple H Levesque and he makes his way to the ring.

Paul says on the heels of the biggest and most epic, history making, record breaking, epic, unbelievable Wrestlemania, they are sold out in Pittsburgh.  He welcomes everyone to Smackdown.  He says he thinks Adam and Nick are doing an incredible job leading their respective brands into the future.  Paul says the future is very bright.  You have to talk about the history you made going into that future.  He says he wants to make sure that history is being made in a way fitting to those who caused it.

Nick brings out the Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

Waller says this is huge.  You got to deal with the second place tag titles on Raw.  Now you get to present the real winners at Wrestlemania with their new championships.  Austin asks Paul if he is a magician like Truth said on Raw.  How can you make them look better than they already do?

Paul congratulates them on winning the tag titles and he presents them with the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Paul offers his hand and Waller shakes Austin’s.

Nick tells them if they pop off at the mouth at Triple H and he will do a magic trick and make you disappear.  He says if you want to focus on comedy and not wrestling, one of these teams will make the titles disappear soon.

We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back with Kayla Braxton in LOCKER ROOM with Naomi.  She asks if her friendship with Bayley will affect the match. Naomi says she loves Bayley and she helped her with Damage CTRL.  She won’t let her friendship get in the way of having a title match on Smackdown for the first time in two years.  She gave Tiffy Time the Glow last week and she will keep the momentum going.  She says she is looking forward to walking into the draft as the WWE Women’s Champion.

WWE Tag-Team Championship Eliminator
Legado Del Fantasma vs. New Catch Republic vs. The Street Profits vs. Authors Of Pain

Tyler and Ford start things off and they lock up.  Ford with a side head lock.  They go to a test of strength and Tyler with a wrist lock and a take down for a near fall.  Ford with a near fall.  Bate with a rollup for a near fall.  Boith men with drop kicks at the same time and get back to their feet.  Humberto tags in and he hits Bate from behind.  Angel tags in and connects with a running kick to Ford for a near fall.  Ford lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex and Dawkins with a corkscrew back elbow.  Akam and Rezar clear the ring and they catch Ford off the turnbuckles and hit a uranage.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Rezar with a front face lock on Ford.  Rezar with a back elbow.  Rezar knocks Dawkins off the apron and he gets Ford up with a back breaker over his shoulder.  Ford escapes and Dunne tags in and then Bate tags in.  Dunne drop kicks Akam off the apron and then they punch Rezar.  Dunne with a German suplex to Humberto and they stomp on his hands and Dunne with a drop kick.  Dunne and Bate with a rebound clothesline and German suplex combination to Angel.  Bate tries to get Rezar up but Rezar blcosk it.  Dunne with a drop kick.  Ford with a super kick and then Dawkins with an enzuigiri.  Everyone but Angel and Humberto get Rezar on Bate’s shoulders but Angel and Humberto stop Bate.

Dawkins sets for a superplex on Bate but Dunne stops Dawkins and Ford joins in.  Akam and Rezar come under while Humberto tags in and the Tower of Doom is done with Bate still on the turnbuckles.  Angel and Humberto press slam Bate onto everyone.  Humberto with a sunset flip and he holds on for Angel to hit a missile drop kick.  Dunne makes the save.  Dunne and Bate with ankle locks on Humberto and Angel.  Humberto kicks Bate onto Dunne to break up the hold.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Rezar with a forearm to Dawkins.  Dawkins with punches and Rezar with a knee and he sets for a power bomb.  Rezar hits the power bomb and Dunne comes in and Akam slams Dunne onto Dawkins for a near fall on Dawkins.  Rezar with punches and Akam tags in.  They set for Super Collider but Dunne and Bate with ranas to send Akam into Rezar.  Everyone goes after Akam and Rezar and Humberto watches from the apron.  Angel realizes he is by himself and he hits a super kick on Dunne.  Ford with a back fist to Bate when he moves.  Humberto with a springboard round kick to Dawkins for a near fall.  Dawkins with a shoulder tackle when Humberto goes into the corner.  Ford tags in and Dawkins gets Humberto on his shoulders.  Ford with a Blockbuster for a near fall when Dunne breaks up the cover.

Dawkins with punches to Dunne and he sends Dunne to the apron.  Dunne pulls off the glove and pulls the fingers.  Ford drop kicks Dunne off the apron.  Humberto with a jaw breaker and Bate tags in.  Bate with a head scissors to Humberto and Angel goes over the top rope to the floor when Bate drops down.  Dunne and Bate go to the turnbuckles for moonsaults and Ford with a plancha over the ring post.  Bate sends Humberto into the ring and he sets for the Tyler Driver but Humberto with a back body drop and Bate lands on his feet.  Humberto with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Humberto with a clothesline and Angel tags in.  Angel with a kick after Humberto sends Bate into the air.  Angel with a quebrada but Ford breaks up the cover with a springboard frog splash.

Dawkins tags in and they hit revelation for the tree count.

Winners: The Street Profits

After the match, Waller and Theory get on the announce table for a stare down.

– We take a look back at Rhea Ripley surrendering the Women’s Championship.

Backstage:

Byron Saxton is with Bayley and she is asked about defending the title against Naomi. Bayley says after seeing Rhea vacate her title, she appreciates this more.  She is more focused and she is the only women’s champion in WWE now.  She says she knows things will change with the draft.  She says she is looking forward to facing Naomi and the champion will not change.

Backstage:

Solo Sikoa is in GORILLA and Paul says he is sorry they cannot find Kevin Owens.  Paul says Kevin has to be here.  He says they will find Kevin. Solo walks and he stares at Paul.  Paul says he is not trying to piss off Solo.  He says Solo is the last person he wants to piss off.  Paul says these are not decisions for you to make, yet.  Paul says these are decisions that can only be made by one man.  Solo asks Paul if he is done yet.   Paul asks if Tama is coming and Solo holds up his taped thumb and walks to the ring because his music is playing.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Paul Heyman introduces himself.   He says he does not know if there is a list of the greatest backstage political manuevers.  Paul says he figures he would be near the top.  Paul wants to explain the backstage politics going on right now within The Bloodline, the premiere act in the WWE.  

The crowd chants for Roman and Paul starts to speak but Solo takes the mic.

Solo says last week, and the crowd boos.  He says he had to lose, and the crowd boos more.  Solo says he had to lose a brother in order for him to find a new one.  His MFT . . . Tama Tonga.

We see Kevin Oens come through the entrance on the ground and Tama Tonga follows.  Tama sends Kevin down the aisle.  

Officials come out and hold their hands out to stop Tama.  

Tama walks over Kevin and enters the ring.  

Kevin gets back to his feet with some help from the referees and officials.

Tama raises his finger in the air and so does Solo.

Kevin makes his way to the ring and he pulls Tama to the floor and punches him.  Solo comes behind him and sends Kevin into the ring post.  Kevin with a double leg take down to Tama and security pulls a bloody Kevin off Tama.  Solo with a Samoan spike and Tama with punches.   

Tama is forced to the floor but he gets a chair and brings it back into the ring.  

Nick tells Tama something and Solo holds Tama back. Kevin is helped from the ring and Solo looks at Kevin’s blood on his wrist tape.

We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Paul Heyman is walking and Nick Aldis grabs Paul and asks if he knew about this.  We see a car crash in the parking lot.  Nick says one of those cars was Kevin Owens’ and the other was Tama Tonga’s.  Nick says things are settled in the ring.  Next week is the draft and there will be a lot of brass watching.  He wants to know that Paul understands and that the Bloodline understands.  If you don’t the repercussions will be equally savage.  Losing isn’t the only thing with consequences.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton was with Legado earlier today and she asks them about Dragon Lee’s injury. Santos says if they did it, they would say it.  They had nothing to do with the attack.  LWO wants to play the blame game and he will prove that he was right all along.

Carlito vs. Santos Escobar

Santos with punches and Carlito punches back.  Carlito with an elbow in the corner and a Thesz Press.  Carlito sends Santos into the turnbuckles and he punches Santos.  Carlito with an Irish whip and he runs into a boot.  Santos is caught and Carlito with a spinebuster for a near fall.  Carlito with a drop kick that sends Santos to the floor.  Carlito drop kicks Santos through the ropes and he hits a pescado.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Santos is in control as he poses over Carlito.  Santos with a chop and a running double knee strike.  Santos puts Carlito on the turnbuckles and Santos with a kick and he goes up for a Hurricanrana for a near fall.  Santos punches Carlito and he applies a double wrist lock.  Carlito with punches and clotheslines.  Carlito with a kick and knee lift followed by a clothesline.  Carlito gets a near fall.  Carlito goes up top and Lopez gets on the turnbuckles.  Zelina pulls Lopez off the apron and Zelina goes for a head scissors take down but Lopez blocks it and sends Vega into the ringside barrier.  Santos kicks the ropes when Carlito returns to the ring while the referee focuses on the women.  Santos sends Carlito into the ring post and hits a Phantom Driver for the three count.

Winner:  Santos Escobar

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is with Damage CTRL. Kayla asks Iyo why did they want these seats to watch the match. Dakota says that Kayla doesn’t have to be disrespectful.  She says Iyo will get her title back when she wants to.  They are here to watch two people they don’t like tear each other apart.  Trey are still the most dominant force in WWE.  Kabuki Warriors are your tag team champions.

Jade Cargil”s music plays and she appears in the next suite wtih Bianca Belair.

We go to commercial.

– We are back with comments from Cody Rhodes in London.  

He says leave no doubt.  The goal was to win the big belt.  It is a new frontier and undiscovered country.  The title makes the man and the man makes the title.  He is in London tonight and in Belfast tomorrow.  He will bring the title all over the world.  AJ Styles is his challenger.  Two Georgia boys battling it out in France.  AJ is the modern excellence of execution.  AJ rarely misses.  Cody says he doesn’t miss.  He says he looks forward to it.

– Next week, we will have the contract signing for the title match. The draft also starts next week.

Naomi vs. Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship

They lock up and Bayley with a side head lock into a wrist lock.  Naomi with a rollup for a near fall.  Naomi with a waist lock and Bayley with a side head lock and take down.  Naomi with a rollup for a near fall.  Naomi with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall.  Bayley misses a kick and Bayley with arm drags into an arm bar.  Bayley with a shoulder tackle but Naomi with a kick and a rollup for a near fall.  Bayley with a La Magistral for a near fall.  Naomi with a jackknife for a near fall.  Bayley gets a near fall.  Both women go for a cross body at the same time and they both go down.  Naomi with a drop kick and a Tiger Feint Bulldog for a near fall.  Naomi with Rear View for a near fall.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Naomi with a jaw breaker.  Naomi with a splash into the corner and a bulldog into the turnbuckles.  Naomi goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall.  Naomi goes for another Tiger Feint Bulldog but Bayley blocks it and sends Naomi into the turnbuckles and hits a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Bayley goes up top for the elbow drop but Naomi gets her knees up to block it.  Naomi with a round kick and a slingshot X Factor for a near fall.  Naomi sets for a split legged moonsault but Bayley gets her knees up.  Bayley with a jumping knee and Bayley limps to the turnbuckles.  Bayley with an elbow drop for a near fall.  

Bayley sets for Rose Plant but Naomi with a kick to avoid it.  Naomi with float over and sunset flip for a near fall.  Naomi into the Slayomissiion but Bayley with a rollup for a near fall.  Naomi and Bayley with forearms and they square off in the ring.  Naomi and Bayley exchange forearms.  Naomi with a scorpion kick and a jumping knee to send Bayley to the floor.  Naomi with a pescado onto Bayley.  Bayley with a belly-to-belly suplex onto the announce table.   Tiffany with a forearm to Bayley and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner:  Bayley (by disqualification)

After the match, Tiffany attacks Naomi and sends Bayley into the ring post.  She sends Naomi into the ring post as well.  Tiffany sends them both into the ring and Tiffany goes for a Prettiest Moonsault Ever onto both women.

We go to credits.
