Chris Hero Returning to WWE, Shad Gaspard Takes Down An Armed Robber

– Former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard nailed a real-life takedown of an armed robber at a Florida convenience store on Saturday night.

The Coral Springs, Florida Police Department told TMZ Sports they responded to a call at around midnight for an attempted armed robbery at the store. The suspect, who appeared to be drunk, walked up to Gaspard and said, “Hey man, buy me a beer.” When Gaspard said, “There’s a better way to ask than that,” the suspect pulled out a gun.

The store clerk says Gaspard quickly shoved the suspect against the cooler door and grabbed his gun, which fell to the ground.

Gaspard told TMZ Sports he was trying to remove the gun’s magazine when he saw an air canister compartment and realized it was just a BB gun. Gaspard then held the man down until police arrived. The suspect was charged with robbery with a weapon.

– F4WOnline reports that Chris Hero is returning to WWE.
