We reported earlier this week that AJ Styles was sidelined with an ankle injury during his match against Dean Ambrose at the TLC event this past Sunday.
It was originally reported that Styles hurt his ankle when he went for a 450 splash to the outside through a table during the match, however that is not the case. We have now been told that Styles hurt his ankle when he did a back drop over the top rope and landed on his feet and not when he did the 450 splash.
The company is hopeful that he will be able to wrestle on this upcoming episode of SmackDown Live. Right now the status of his injury is being evaluated on a day-to-day bases and we won’t know if he will be competing until Tuesday.
