As we spoiled earlier, WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner made an appearance on tonight’s NXT 2.0 episode, but it wasn’t to support his son.
During tonight’s main event, Bron Breakker retained the NXT Championship against Gunther. After the match, the video screen showed Steiner, who told his son, Bron, that he was proud of him.
However, the camera panned back to reveal that he was tied up and trapped in a cage. Joe Gacy and Harland were guarding the cage, and Gacy teased that he wants to teach an old dog new tricks. Harland hit the bars of the cage before the camera faded out to close the show.
