Drew McIntyre On Cody Rhodes’ Possible WWE Return

Drew McIntyre On Cody Rhodes' Possible WWE Return

Drew McIntyre has given his take on the possibility of Cody Rhodes returning to WWE after leaving AEW earlier this month when the two sides couldn’t come to terms on a new deal.

The belief is Rhodes is headed back to WWE, but that has yet to be confirmed. McIntyre is interested in what Rhodes does moving forward as he knows what it’s like to be in WWE and things not work out then wanting to correct the wrongs by going back. He thinks Rhodes is in this same situation and spoke about it at the end of an interview with the In The Kliq podcast.

“Yeah, I mean I read all the headlines just like everyone else online. Like 20% of them actually happen. If he comes back, good for him. That’d be awesome. I know what it feels like to be gone from WWE feeling like you should have achieved more and come back to do it. Knowing him the way I know him, he probably feels the same way about unfinished business. So if it materializes, then, awesome. He’s such a talent and will be more than welcome on the roster.”

McIntyre also noted that he was sad to see Cesaro leave WWE because they never got to work together in a singles match. You can listen to the entire interview by clicking on the player below (quotes can be found at the 12:07 mark):
