Big NXT Name Eyed To Join Imperium – Imperium made their official WWE RAW debut last night and it was revealed that they are doing some work for Paul Heyman.
The group is a favorite of Triple H and it’s expected that they will continue to be kept strong. The alliance with Heyman also suggests that there might be plans for an Imperium vs. Bloodline feud at some point later this year but that has not been confirmed.
The insider Twitter account @BoozerRasslin, who has been very accurate with WWE scoops, dropped an interesting nugget of information on plans to add a new member to the group.
Boozer stated that Ilja Dragunov is being “eyed to join Imperium later.” Boozer did not give a timeline on when that would happen. Also worth reminding everyone that plans can change and things can be moved up or delayed for various reasons.
Dragunov is currently on the NXT brand and he’s a former NXT United Kingdom Champion and is regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the world. Dragunov was primarily featured on the NXT UK brand. He made his full-time NXT debut on the September 20th broadcast.
