Vanity Project vs. Starboy and Mini Vikingo – 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinal Match

Ricky Smokes and Starboy start things off as the bell sounds. Starboy gains the early advantage with a dropkick, but Brad Baylor quickly enters the match and catches him with an uppercut. Baylor follows with a right hand before tagging Smokes back in.

Mini Vikingo then tags himself into the bout and immediately shifts momentum, soaring off the top rope with a Tornillo that connects with Smokes. He follows up with a flurry of strikes and keeps the pressure on his opponent.

The action spills to the outside where Myka Lockwood creates a distraction, cutting off Mini Vikingo’s path. Taking advantage of the opening, Baylor blindsides Mini Vikingo with a clothesline. Moments later, Smokes knocks Starboy off the apron and sends him crashing to the floor, allowing Vanity Project to take control of the match.

Brad Baylor cuts off Mini Vikingo before he can make a tag, but Mini Vikingo eventually breaks free and reaches Starboy. Starboy explodes into the match, taking out both Baylor and Ricky Smokes with a double flipping kick. He follows up with a standing Phoenix Splash on Smokes and goes for the cover, but Smokes gets a two count.

Baylor tags back in and plants Starboy with a Sidewalk Slam, then looks to put the match away. Before he can, Mini Vikingo launches himself off Baylor’s back to break up the pin attempt. The sequence continues at a frantic pace as Mini Vikingo drops Smokes with a Mexican Destroyer, but Starboy catches Smokes with a kick moments later.

As Starboy heads to the middle rope, Mini Vikingo tags himself in. Baylor quickly cuts Starboy off, but Mini Vikingo responds by flying off the ropes and taking Baylor down. Starboy then sends Mini Vikingo into Baylor, causing Baylor to accidentally knock Smokes off the apron.

With the ring breaking down, Mini Vikingo wipes out Jackson Drake on the outside with a Tornillo over the top rope. Back inside, Starboy heads to the top rope looking for a moonsault on Smokes, but Smokes gets his knees up. He immediately tags Baylor, and Vanity Project capitalizes with their double stomp and reverse DDT combination on Starboy.

Baylor hooks the leg and secures the three-count, sending Vanity Project into the next round of the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Winners: Vanity Project

Shugars and Waller Trade Words

Backstage, Saquon Shugars delivers an intense message ahead of his match, taking aim at Tristan Angels and dismissing him as a punk. Shugars makes it clear that his focus remains on competing with champions and proving he belongs at the top of NXT.

The promo is interrupted by NXT Champion Grayson Waller, who mocks Shugars for being distracted by championship ambitions instead of concentrating on the opponent standing across the ring from him. Waller questions why Shugars is worried about titles he has yet to earn.

Shugars fires right back, refusing to back down from the champion. He tells Waller to pay close attention to what happens later tonight before the confrontation comes to an end.

Tristan Angels vs. Saquon Shugars

The match begins with both men trading offense in a competitive opening exchange. Saquon Shugars creates the first opening, connecting with a jawbreaker before driving an elbow into the back of Tristan Angels’ neck. Shugars follows with an early cover, but Angels gets his shoulder up.

Shugars continues to control the pace by targeting Angels’ left arm. Angels looks for an opening by attempting to expose the top turnbuckle, but Shugars cuts him off before he can do any damage. Shugars keeps momentum on his side with a back body drop, then sends Angels to the floor with a clothesline and follows up with a pair of dropkicks through the middle ropes.

Frustration begins to set in for Angels, who starts throwing chairs into the ring. The referee quickly intervenes and prevents any further weapons from entering the match as Shugars grabs hold of one of the chairs.

Back from the break, Angels has turned things around and holds Shugars in a delayed vertical suplex. Shugars escapes, but Angels immediately responds with a big boot. Angels then looks for a swinging neckbreaker, only for Shugars to cling to the top rope to block the move.

Angels slows the action with a sleeper hold, but Shugars powers back to his feet and drives Angels spine-first into the corner. Shugars follows with a stiff chop and heads to the top rope looking to put the match away.

The risk does not pay off. Angels avoids the aerial attack, and both men tumble over the top rope to the outside. With the action spilling to ringside, Angels uses the announce desk to his advantage and sends Shugars face-first into a chair. Angels wastes no time capitalizing, drilling Shugars with a knee strike to secure the victory.

Winner: Tristan Angels

Vignette: Tony D’Angelo Sends a Message to Myles Borne

A video package airs featuring Tony D’Angelo ahead of his scheduled confrontation with Myles Borne later in the night. D’Angelo calls out Borne’s recent change in attitude and points to last week’s encounter as proof of the difference between them.

Referencing the attack that left him laid out, D’Angelo says Borne needed a five-dollar roll of coins to take him down. Tony then delivers a warning, stating that if their roles had been reversed, he would have used a crowbar to finish the job. The vignette closes with D’Angelo making it clear that he is ready to settle things with Borne face-to-face.

Results for the October 13 episode of WWE NXT continue after a commercial break.

Vignette: The Culling Targets Zaria

Another vignette airs featuring The Culling, with Izzi Dame leading a discussion centered on Zaria. Presented in a question-and-answer format, the group questions why so many people view Zaria as a threat.

Dame dismisses the idea that Zaria is anything special, claiming there is nothing unique about her. She argues that Zaria is a broken individual who has spent so much time trying to convince others of how dangerous she is that she has lost sight of who she really is. The segment closes with The Culling continuing to cast doubt on Zaria’s reputation ahead of a potential confrontation.

Wren Sinclair Stakes Her Claim

Wren Sinclair heads to the ring and admits that overthinking has often held her back throughout her career. She says keeping her head down never got her where she wanted to be, so she finally took a chance by disguising herself as Lady Shani in last week’s 20-Woman Number One Contender’s Battle Royal. Sinclair offers an apology to Shani, though she admits she is not entirely sorry for what she did. She says she is done backing down and refusing opportunities.

Sinclair acknowledges that she is not one of the biggest names in the NXT women’s division and that few people expected her to be standing in this position. She reflects on losing the WWE Women’s Speed Championship and watching Kendal Grey lose the NXT Women’s Championship, saying those setbacks convinced her that she needed to fight for what she wants. Sinclair credits Grey for always believing in her and says it is time to step up for both herself and her friend. She also addresses the uncertainty surrounding her suspension from NXT General Manager Robert Stone.

The celebration is interrupted by NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan. Jordan says too many people have become comfortable bending the rules and escaping consequences. She argues that Sinclair’s suspension should invalidate her Number One Contender status and declares that she has no intention of defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Sinclair at Halloween Havoc. Jordan says she will defend her title against anyone except Sinclair and questions why Sinclair felt the need to enter the battle royal in disguise rather than as herself.

Robert Stone then makes his way out to address the situation. Stone officially announces that Sinclair’s suspension has been lifted. While he admits Jordan raises valid concerns, he points out that Sinclair still outlasted 20 other competitors to earn the opportunity. Stone asks the crowd whether Sinclair deserves a championship match, and the fans respond with a loud show of support.

With that, Stone makes it official. Wren Sinclair will challenge Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc.

The show cuts to a commercial break. We will be back for more WWE NXT results for October 13, 2026.

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: La Catalina (c) vs. Kali Armstrong

The champion comes out firing as soon as the bell rings, but Kali Armstrong quickly cuts her off with a powerful strike. La Catalina responds with a back elbow and uses her speed to take control, sending Armstrong to the mat with a headscissors.

Catalina keeps the pressure on with a big boot that knocks Armstrong onto the ring apron, then follows up with a Hip Attack that sends her crashing to the floor. Looking to build momentum, Catalina launches herself from the apron with a crossbody, but Armstrong catches her in midair and slams her onto the floor.

Armstrong then exposes the concrete at ringside and attempts to drive Catalina onto the unforgiving surface. Catalina escapes at the last second, lands on her feet, and counters by sending Armstrong into the ring steps.

With Armstrong down, Catalina capitalizes on the opening and climbs onto the steps before launching herself with a senton, crashing onto her challenger and maintaining control of the championship bout.

Back in the ring, La Catalina continues to build momentum and catches Kali Armstrong with a dropkick from the middle rope. She follows up by driving Armstrong face-first into the mat and looks to stay on the offensive.

Armstrong manages to capitalize on an opening moments later, rolling Catalina into a pinning predicament. The champion kicks out and quickly regains control before the challenger can take advantage.

Catalina wastes no time putting the match away, connecting with a Shining Wizard that drops Armstrong. She hooks the leg and secures the three-count to retain her title.

Winner and Still AAA Reina de Reinas Champion: La Catalina

Wren Sinclair Confronts Myles Borne

Backstage, Myles Borne is training with resistance bands when Wren Sinclair approaches him about his recent behavior. Sinclair criticizes Borne for his actions in recent weeks, specifically calling him out over what he did to Tavion Heights. She accuses Borne of letting his growing success inflate his ego.

Borne pushes back, reminding Sinclair that she is hardly in a position to lecture anyone about ego. He points out that she renamed an entire faction after herself, turning the criticism back on her before walking away from the conversation.

Shortly after Borne leaves, Kendal Grey arrives backstage. Grey and Sinclair share a hug before the two begin discussing their plans for the future of WrenQCC.

We will return after a break with more results from the October 13 episode of WWE NXT.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom vs. Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno – 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinal Match

Nathan Frazer and Noam Dar kick things off, immediately engaging in a competitive exchange. Dar gains an early advantage when he traps Frazer in an Ankle Lock, but Frazer quickly reaches the bottom rope to force a break.

The action speeds up when Axiom and Romeo Moreno tag in and square off. Frazer soon re-enters the match, but Moreno sends him tumbling through the middle rope to the floor. Dar then knocks Axiom off the apron, and he and Moreno look to capitalize on the positioning. As both men charge in, Frazer helps Axiom counter the attack, with Axiom connecting on a dropkick to Moreno.

Following the break, Frazer delivers a spectacular springboard Spanish Fly to Moreno and goes for the cover. Moreno survives the pin attempt and keeps his team alive in the tournament.

Dar tags in and immediately becomes the focus of Frazer’s offense. Frazer catches him with a kick from the apron through the ropes before heading to the top rope for a Phoenix Splash. Dar avoids disaster by getting his knees up, stopping Frazer’s momentum.

Axiom tags into the match as Frazer recovers, and the former champions string together a series of quick strikes against Dar. Dar then traps Frazer in a Triangle Hold, but Frazer powers his way back up. As Dar maintains the submission, Axiom flies in with a dropkick that forces Dar to release the hold and keeps the match moving at a frantic pace.

Nathan Frazer connects with a Frog Splash off the top rope on Noam Dar and goes for the cover, but Dar stays alive with a close two count. Axiom quickly tags in, and he and Frazer isolate Dar with a series of tandem attacks. Axiom covers Dar after the combination, but Romeo Moreno dives in to break up the pin.

Axiom shifts his attention to Moreno and launches him with a Spanish Fly from the top rope. Frazer immediately follows with another Frog Splash, then hooks the leg. Before the referee can count three, Dar intervenes by trapping Frazer in an Ankle Lock.

Axiom rushes to his partner’s aid, flying through the middle rope to take Dar out on the floor. Back inside the ring, Axiom makes a blind tag as Frazer delivers a superplex to Moreno. Frazer and Axiom follow with another double-team sequence, but Moreno halts their momentum with a Fallaway Slam on Axiom from the middle rope and makes the tag to Dar.

With the match reaching its final stages, Frazer attempts another aerial attack, but Dar catches him with a back elbow. Dar and Moreno then reconnect, delivering a Russian leg sweep and kick combination to Axiom. Dar makes the cover and secures the three-count.

Winners: Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno

Backstage: BirthRight Interrupts the Wagner Family

Backstage, AAA World Tag Team Champions El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno are interviewed about their participation in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The discussion is soon interrupted by BirthRight, who waste no time taking shots at the Wagner family’s legacy despite their long history in the wrestling business.

BirthRight dismisses the champions’ accomplishments and boasts about the strength of their own group. The faction also references the recent actions of Zilla Fatu, making it clear that they are no longer interested in adding new members. They add that the Wagners would not have met their standards anyway.

The exchange quickly grows heated as both sides trade words. Neither group backs down, and the confrontation ends with clear tension between them, teasing a possible showdown in the near future.

Results for WWE NXT on October 13 continue after a commercial break.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Myles Borne – Number One Contender’s Match for the NXT Championship

The match begins with Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne locking up in the center of the ring. D’Angelo scores an early pin attempt, but Borne quickly kicks out and turns the momentum in his favor.

Borne immediately targets D’Angelo, driving him face-first into the ring apron before sending him into the ring post. He continues the assault by launching D’Angelo shoulder-first into the ring steps, focusing on wearing down his opponent’s upper body.

With D’Angelo reeling, Borne rolls him back into the ring and heads to the top rope looking to capitalize. D’Angelo cuts him off before he can fly, connecting with a right hand and taking control of the exchange. He follows up by sending Borne shoulder-first into the barricade on the outside, halting Borne’s early surge and turning the tide back in his favor.

Tony D’Angelo continues to build momentum on the outside, taking control of the action before rolling Myles Borne back into the ring.

As the match continues, NXT Champion Grayson Waller is shown watching from backstage. Inside the ring, Borne regains the advantage with a knee strike and follows up with several hard shots. D’Angelo responds by driving Borne into the corner and climbing to the top rope, but Borne cuts him off and looks for an aerial attack of his own. D’Angelo has him scouted, exploding with a spear in mid-air that brings both men crashing down.

The pace intensifies as the two competitors trade right hands in the center of the ring. Borne then looks to put the match away with Borne Again, but D’Angelo counters and plants him with a sit-out powerbomb. D’Angelo covers, but Borne survives with a close call.

Borne rallies once more, sending D’Angelo spine-first into the top turnbuckle before connecting with an Angle Slam. Just as he appears poised to finish the match, a cameraman suddenly jumps onto the ring apron and catches Borne’s attention. The distraction proves costly, as D’Angelo capitalizes with a chokeslam and scores the three-count.

Winner and New Number One Contender to the NXT Championship: Tony D’Angelo

Tavion Heights Attacks

After the match, the mystery cameraman reveals himself to be Tavion Heights. Heights immediately storms into the ring and attacks Borne, unloading on him before tossing him around with a belly-to-belly suplex.

The assault continues at ringside as Heights powerbombs Borne through the announce desk, leaving him laid out. Heights stands tall as officials rush to the scene.

Halloween Havoc Mystery Emerges

Moments before the broadcast ends, Robert Stone is shown finishing a phone call and returning to his office. Waiting for him is a note on his desk. Stone reads the message aloud:

“Make me the host of Halloween Havoc, or you are cursed.”

As soon as he finishes reading, the lights begin flickering throughout the office. The eerie laughter of a certain “Very Nice, Very Evil” WWE Superstar echoes through the building, leaving Stone visibly unsettled as NXT goes off the air.
